Dak Prescott is a very good NFL quarterback. He’s no more selfish than any other player on the Cowboys or other professional team. The only reason he garnered $60 million AAV while other top NFL quarterback were getting around $55 million is Jerry Jones is bad handling contracts and negotiations.

Jerry Jones’ primary interest is money. I’m guessing that’s Dak’s primary interest in deference to his playing career. Cowboys fans have to live with Dak another few years. The Jones family will own the Cowboys for many more decades. It is difficult to accept, I guess, that Dak Prescott is a better NFL quarterback than Jerry Jones is a NFL owner.

Or 2012 Where we had Dez with over 1300 yards and 12 TD's, Miles Austin who had almost 1000 yards receiving, Jason Witten with over 1000 yards receiving. And didn't even make the playoffs.

We should just be lucky we went from Romo to Dak because before Romo and Dak we had some TRASH QB's: From 2001 - 2005 we had these QB's: Drew Bledsoe, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Henson, Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Anthony Wright, Ryan Leaf. I hope we don't hit that rough patch again anytime soon lol

Oh and I suppose he was also blessed with a great defense…

so you think Jerry has been better now than then, man the links some will go to here to defend the player they like vs the player they dont like when at the end of the day NONE of the players have won anything with this disfunctional FO..again youll use stats for the ones you like and hold the ones you dont like to "What did they win in the playoffs" ..so im clear Romo had Jags on his team all the time and no weapons and a defense that couldn't stop A Rod with an oline that couldn't run the ball? but Dak had a team built by the same GM ready to win if only he could've played better?

well, he chose it at the end of his career and really how much less did he take? people speak as if he took minimum wage.
Brady's first contract was the highest in the NFL at the time
his secodn contract was the highest in the NFL

don't forget Brady played for over 20 years....so yeah, he wasn't a quire boy playing for minimum wage. plus his wife at the time was making 3 times what he made.

and on that point. Brady is one....how many others made "sacrifices"? people keep going to the goat and compare everyone in the NFL ever to the goat.

this is not a defense of saying Dak deserved or not deserved the contract. IMHO, I would have paid less and negotiated harder. but that's Jerry for you. this is to say its very stupid to use brady as an example of what 1000s of other NFL players should do.

I like both Tony and Dak but no QB can perform with defensive players draped all over them at the snap of the ball. And last year’s line was the worst I have seen in years. I don’t think that Jerry should have given Dak that contract either. The team should also have another threat at wide receiver to go along with CeeDee.
