:rolleyes::rolleyes: No HC can control.....

Other teams and HCs are doing the job just fine under the same exact rules

Maybe Garrett needs to go do an internship at one if the other NFL teams in how to be a HC and learn the meanings of discipline and accountability

Other teams are not wasting time on problem players they are drafting or getting in FA. These are adults not little kids, can your boss tell you not to hang out and get drunk at clubs? I love it you guys defend these morons when they get busted. Oh Gregory has mental issues so him getting high is alright and it is the leagues fault. Cowboys can do themselves a favor and avoid getting idiots but plain and simple truth you will not stop a grown man from doing what he chooses to do off the field. In the locker room and on the field the HC does have control over this players but when they walk out the doors they are grown men and accountable for their own action and blaming those action on a HC is stupid.

Watch the PC from yesterday, a reporter asks him 3x about all the suspensions and Garrett starts getting a little aggy. I'd like to see a little more accountability from him.

Jason Garrett is a complete joke. Its been proved over and over and over again. He is an administrator, nothing more. A figurehead with little over the roster.

So your boss is accountable for what you do when you leave for the evening?

If my boss convinces the company owners to pay me a Million dollars to do my job and I embarrass the company and is then unable to do my job ...... then yes ....... my boss would be held responsible by the company because he is responsible for his people.

I don't see money as having any bearing on this. I will say the Cowboys need to avoid problem players thinking they will change once they get to Dallas because by and large these people will not change. I don't see Dallas having more issue than other teams, I see Cowboys having issues with the same guys. McClain and Gregory account for a large percentage of suspended games. Cowboys do not have a lot of problem players just the same guys who continue to make headlines.

This is one of the dumbest posts ever written on this site.

I don't care what you all think - the head coach has absolutely zero control over what the players do in their time. They're adults just like you and me.
Well then he doesn't get credit for building any type of culture here either, and, at the end of the day, that is the ONLY thing that people point to when trying to build a case that he has been a good HC. Anyone who makes that claim has to hold him accountable for a lot of this stuff, and, most of the time, they don't.

I don't blame JG for any of this stuff. But that makes him a pretty irrelevant HC. He's a non-factor. This team doesn't win or lose because of him. And that's actually a step up from when they were going .500 in spite of him.

You asked me a question and I answered it ......... so do you see why he should be held accountable for his people or not ......... every other million dollar company manager would be

Exactly. People can't have it both ways. If you take away the culture argument, then what exactly does he contribute around here?

There is nothing you can do to sugar coat the fact that the Cowboys are consistently one of the most suspension ridden teams in the NFL.

Not much. Linehan runs the offense, Marinelli runs the defense, McClay and the Joneses run the personnel with input from the coordinators.

That is true it is your opinion. I guess the player is not accountable for his own actions. If people want to blame Dallas for drafting guys with a past history then I agree. Myself I place blame on the player as I said they are grown men not children. If it were my call to make the league rules would be much stricter than what they are. I'm sure many would continue to defend the actions of player and make excuses for them but hey at least they have Garrett to blame

Yes ........ he should be held accountable.
Riiiiiiight.

If I get hammered, get behind the wheel and get busted at 3am in the morning, my boss is not responsible. I am. I don't know what it's like in your place of business, but that's how it works in my circles.
