Is it time to declare Claiborne a bust?

I think so. He's played so poorly, that I think he's got too far to go to even be an adequate CB. And with a Wonderlic score of 7, he's not capable of learning how to play the position at the NFL level.

Not yet, cb is a hard position to adjust to at the nfl level and few players come in and are immediately top flight corners. This will be a big year for him development wise though.

There's a reason there's been so much talk of upgrading the D-line. Don't you think that QBs having all day to throw is part of the reason why Mo or Carr weren't looking that great?

He ain't a bust, when we get a pass rush out secondary all of a sudden gets that much better, with the guys we have idk much about any pass rush
Now we are talking. It's still a team game.

Mo had a solid rookie year and was hurt and learning a scheme that didn't fit his style of play this past season .. I wouldn't jump the gun by saying he's a bust thus far. Not at all. Not to mention his front 7 was decimated last year. No cb stands a chance behind last years defense

Anyone remember the.....Ware sucks we should have gotten Merriman threads, lol

Solid? He was terrible his rookie year.

I can't read this entire thread and then just say "NO"...thus, "NO, he is not a bust"

OK, I was nodding my porportionately big head until you wrote LSU. If anyone can get easily by anywhere it would be LSU. I remember when I applied there and they laughed. Well, I got into a good JC and now who is laughing? I will tell you who, LSU and the guy who collect my student loan.

In high school I applied online to LSU under the pseudonym 'Rocky'... The next day Rocky got an acceptance email offering a full ride

The same fans that are giving Mo the benefit of the doubt are quick to point out that Dion Jordan has been a bust. It is a double standard. My opinions are not tied to emotions for my favorite team.

I'm callin' BS on that............just sayin'.

In theory, he is a bust considering his draft position and the expectations that came with him. However, he still has time to redeem himself if he can stay healthy and grow as a professional.

He is on the precipice. I question his desire and toughness. Doubt he ever comes close to his billing.

They half a boxing team???!!!

Well when I become a college president I will it harder to get in. I would half axed you for a last name and social but that's just me.

I can use Brandon Graham or several more young players that are labeled as bust if it helps you understand the point. Mo gets the benefit of the doubt from Cowboy fans due to him being a Cowboy.

They're job is to defend, whether it be 3 in they're direction of 20.
I prefer to think that our D line half suffered because our secondary half been stinking for a couple of years.

I'm not ready to give up on him at this stage of his career. He'd gotten off to a late start as a rookie, had injuries and in general, has simply had a tough time to adjust to the rigors of the NFL game, its talent, scheme changes and such. As JG stated, he also needs to get stronger to physically afford the run support necessary in our current scheme. I'm also anxious to see if the coverage might be adjusted some to accomodate more man coverage and less zone.
