Well if your going to be hardline, and set examples, enforce discipline, then you dont wait for suspensions,
both gregory and Ro should have been cut after they failed a 2nd test.
After they fail a first test, tell them another fail and they are gone, and then if they fail a 2nd time cut them.
Ro has failed 5 tests, and people are just now saying get rid of him.
Gregory has failed 4 tests, and people want to keep him.

I understand your point but losing a player for 10 games is huge. People are more pissed now in part because we never hear anything about the first 4 failed test. Until the suspension takes place I just assume business as usual. Gregory is damn near a lost cause also. But Ro has been ruining his career for years now. Sooner or later you have to draw a line in the sand.

yeah I agree, and he will be gone after the season is over, but they may need him later, and the smart thing is to wait.
With gregory, if he fails another test he will get a 10 game suspension, so do you keep him after the season is over,
or go ahead and cut him ?
I say go ahead and cut him too. He already had his chance, and unless he has a spectacular season, smart thing is
to let him go at end of season or after playoffs.
And dont resign Ro.
And give lawrence notice, that one more fail and he is gone.

Even if we could cut him, Jerry likes the guy too much, wouldn't be shocked to see him back next season

Jerry is sometimes reluctant to admit to mistakes . . . maybe he wants to wait until the furor over Ro's suspension dies down to cut him.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be a truly shocking happenstance if he elected to go the stubborn route and keep him, despite public resentment.

I think they know the consequences with the league office but they dont know the consequences with the team, hell no one does.

The message is for the entire team this kind of crap wont be tolerated, your contract will not be honored if this happens.

Besided that he cant be good for morale or as an example to the younger guys. How would you feel if you were working your tail off to win a superbowl and you had this piece of work collecting a check.

Like I said, I rather they cut ties with him too, but can see why they won't. And said that. so, You and your cohorts are the ones that want to keep repeating the same stuff.

Demeco Ryans could be one or Justin Durant or expand your thinking a little and go for a trade

That is not the point.....it was said that a player could not be cut when suspended and I showed the CBA language that showed they could be....one way is to claim they are being cut to save cap space, regardless whether they use it immediately or not.....that is the reason given to the NFL

McClain is now useless to us....he misses 10 weeks....has to train on his own and will burn another house down and get suspended again for getting high

CUT HIM and move on...just like they finally realized with Randle

As I responded in another post...I say move on too, but can see why they wouldn't....add you too, to the gang that keeps on saying the same thing, as I was just stating an opinion.

Lol snarky much? Im not repeating myself, Ive only tried to explain how I personally feel about the situation. Try to keep your shirt on, we are all on the same side here. I didnt post a single thing beforehand to instigate your little attitude. I dont no why there are so many jack wagons on this board that are dying to argue, but nothing in my previous posts should have offended anyone.

Lol, there was nothing I posted that was even slightly offensive until you started off. Honestly I have no cohorts lol. Ive got a few hundred post and most of them are sunshine pumping optimism for the team I love. I just cant seem to find the optimism in the way they've handled this. And please make it a permanent ignore.

Cowboys have to Cut rolando mcclain, send a msg to the team, get it done jerry jones
ok, word is coming out of cowboys organization now that the coaches arent happy about rolando missing otas, but jerry jones excused it, even jason garrett wasnt happy. A team has to send a msg to the team, that the head coach wants players in otas, or else. just like when jimmy johnson held players accountable for practice and if they werent in shape they got cut.

Each year rolando has had some excuse to get away with not practicing in otas, then would be out of shape and get hurt or couldnt play. jerry jones has to back up jason garrett and send the msg to players either you show up for voluntary practices, be in shape for them and ready for training camp. AND NO DRUGS, OR YOU WONT BE ON THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SEND THAT MSG JERRY JONES AND STEPHEN, THIS LETS OTHER PLAYERS KNOW EITHER YOU SHOW UP IN SHAPE AND DRUG FREE OR YOU WONT BE ON THIS TEAM. THIS WOULD SEND THAT MSG TO RANDY GREGORY TO.
