Romo's career numbers could as easily end with where thy are today, as they could being any better. I don't think most people understand the severity of two back surgeries.....

You are right only a small group of qbs can say they produce mediocre results. Few wins championships and most suck. Being in themiddle can be worse than being real bad

That winning percentage is better than 80-85% or more of the QBs out there.
And his career stats are top 10%

Where the hell do you get mediocre?

I'm well aware of his flaws, but some of you haters are juvenile beyond belief.

Maybe.

But I place Danny White ahead of Romo in Cowboy history.

Division titles, NFC Championship appearances, was not just a QB but our punter and a darn good one.

Romo may play for the next 2-3 years if he's lucky.

But he will not surpass White in what he did for the Franchise.

Romo is going nowhere and his overall health has repeatedly caused him to lose game time.

It's not even close in my mind.

I'm only interested in actual results, not hypotheticals.

That's the issue with today's fans for this team..

they have learned to accept statistics for team accomplishments.

And your comment about not thinking Romo is HofF worthy..

is spot on.

Romo is going to go down as one of those quirky players that never really got over the hump in his career.

Oh, I think the world of Danny White.
That man was very unappreciated.

Romo is a great success story..going from an UFDA to QB of the Dallas cowboys.... so why can't we just leave it at that and enjoy him for what he is....a good NFL QB....he is not a HOFer.

Many other good NFL QBs are not in. .Esaison, Plunkett,Simms, Theismann, Stabler, Jurgenson..... I just don't see Romo in....

Obviously it's the same answer as Romo. There is absolutely no reason he couldn't get in... if the Chargers can win it all.

Frankly, these kind of debates are becoming less necessary as time goes on. With the media's obsession with turning the QB into a starting pitcher, I seriously doubt that they will let any more Tarkentons or Marinos into the hall. Especially now that guys like Manning and Favre hold the Madden-like video game passing records those guys held, except with rings. It'd be more productive to speculate if Eli, Ben, Flacco, etc. can get in. Ring-less guys are gonna need 80,000 yards by the time Peyton is through.

Right. And that's what I was hinting at. A few Cowboys fans may hold out hope that Romo can get into the hall, but to put it in perspective, I asked the question of whether or not Rivers should make it.

Both guys will not.

He's a good NFL QB who could win a SB if he was on the right team. I've defended him from outrageous, uncalled for attacks from other fans throughout his career.

But my expectations are low for Romo, because he just isn't on that "right" team.

Yes and if Ware were on another team he'd get his Lombardini ring. And if Dez was on the "right" team he could be in Super Bowl commercials. And if Barry Switzer could coach the Seahawks he could coach another Super Bowl team. . . .

Stabler is not in? If so, that is an embarrassment to the HOF committee.

Why should he do that?

Thats as big a travesty as Drew Pearson not being in.....Stabler has some of the most memorable plays in NFL history and he was a clutch QB. I love my Cowboys but i loved watching the "Snake" play.....he should be in.

Which is true.

And I don't in anyway hold it against Romo.

Romo has not had the same benefits a guy like Aikman and Staubach had in their Cowboy careers.

..they had great teammates and great coaches at just the right moment.

But you cant take away from what Staubach and Aikman did either, they were very talented and deserving of the HOF, I would say more talented than Romo. They benefited from great team but they were also a big part of the reason the Cowboys won those championships.

Funny story.

Joe Blow criticized Tony Romo his entire career. “He’s a bum, I tell ya! He’ll never make the Hall!”

Joe was relentless. He heckled Romo at every home game. “You stink Romo! You almost put my eye out with that last pass Romo!”

When Romo retired, Joe attended the retirement press conference. He interrupted Romo at every opportunity. “Glad you retired Romo! Thanks for nuthin, Romo!” Candice wept as security dragged Joe from the room.

Joe lived a long life. During his last night in the hospital, Joe was watching ESPN. His eyesight was almost gone, but he somehow managed to make out the small text flashing by at the bottom of the screen. The blurt read, “Tony Romo. Ex Dallas Cowboy. Dead at 91.”

Joe giggled to himself. “Ha. Loser.” And with that last dig, Joe went on to his reward as well.

Incredibly, Joe found the afterlife favorable. Beer and pizza was plentiful. He got every sports channel imaginable. Joe was in heaven. Until…

Joe and his couch buddy was watching NFL Network one day, when the announcer said, “… and ex-Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo, are this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees.”

Shocked beyond belief, Joe sat motionless for several minutes. Anger eventually got the best of him as he threw his beer bottle, smashing his 80-inch television screen, and scream, “AW HELL!”

Joe's buddy wasn’t amused. “Exactly. Not cool, Joe. No more beer for you, ever again.” And that was the last time Satan dropped by Joe’s abode.
