At this point absolutely not.

You should have to be a pretty elite player to get in and Romo has barely been top 5 in the league at times in his career and has no substance to his career so far.

Will not take a dynasty and Moon was in a pass happy offense.

A dynasty will get him in first ballot. Back to back gets him in the discussion, probably gets him in but not first ballot. One Super Bowl doesn't get him in IMO. Romo just has too many Bad interceptions for people to forget at this point.

Funny story.

Joe Blow criticized Tony Romo his entire career. “He’s a bum, I tell ya! He’ll never make the Hall!”

Joe was relentless. He heckled Romo at every home game. “You stink Romo! You almost put my eye out with that last pass Romo!”

When Romo retired, Joe attended the retirement press conference. He interrupted Romo at every opportunity. “Glad you retired Romo! Thanks for nuthin, Romo!” Candice wept as security dragged Joe from the room.

Joe lived a long life. During his last night in the hospital, Joe was watching ESPN. His eyesight was almost gone, but he somehow managed to make out the small text flashing by at the bottom of the screen. The blurt read, “Tony Romo. Ex Dallas Cowboy. Dead at 91.”

Joe giggled to himself. “Ha. Loser.” And with that last dig, Joe went on to his reward as well.

Incredibly, Joe found the afterlife favorable. Beer and pizza was plentiful. He got every sports channel imaginable. Joe was in heaven. Until…

Joe and his couch buddy was watching NFL Network one day, when the announcer said, “… and ex-Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo, are this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees.”

Shocked beyond belief, Joe sat motionless for several minutes. Anger eventually got the best of him as he threw his beer bottle, smashing his 80-inch television screen, and scream, “AW HELL!”

Joe's buddy wasn’t amused. “Exactly. Not cool, Joe. No more beer for you, ever again.” And that was the last time Satan dropped by Joe’s abode.

Joe was right.

From what I'm looking at, he's only led the NFL in interceptions once (2012*). Are you anticipating him doing it twice more before he's done?
Any anyway, Joe Namath led pro football in interceptions in 1966, '74, and '75; Brett Favre led in 1993, 2005, and 2008.

*And I know it's bad to lead the league in interceptions, but that year Romo tied Drew Brees at 19. You'd have to go back twenty years to find as low a number leading the league, and thirty years to find a lower number.

It was 2007, 2010 and 2013.

You're right, leading the league in interceptions is not always an indicator of poor play. In fact, I think Kurt Warner won the MVP with 22 interceptions, which didn't lead the league but could have had things broke right. But guys like Namath, Warner, and Favre have tons of other things going for them to offset a few bad seasons. Between the three of them they have 7 league MVPs; Eli has 0 MVP votes in 10 seasons. I would go as far as to say that not even a single voter over those 10 seasons hovered their pencil over his name on a single ballot.

Yes and if Ware were on another team he'd get his Lombardini ring. And if Dez was on the "right" team he could be in Super Bowl commercials. And if Barry Switzer could coach the Seahawks he could coach another Super Bowl team. . . .

The fact remains that he plays for the Jones led Cowboys who ruin good players.

The Hall of Fame is one personal accomplishment that pretty much requires team accomplishments to even get consideration. I think Romo's got a skill set similar to many QBs already in the hall, but without the titles or something truly outstanding statistically, he doesn't deserve a whiff.

Players who allow theyselves to be ruined might not be players, just guys passing through with talent but no heart and no fear of the consquences (are you listening, Jason, you of the "he's a competitor" apologist camp of coddlers?)
