Way to avoid the question. Why couldn't Dak lead the receiver, which is what a good quarterback under no pressure would have done. I mean, why make excuses?
To be clear, I'm not arguing that Cooper couldn't have caught it. I'm arguing that it's not all on him. An accurate throw in stride makes the odds of it getting dropped or tipped MUCH lower and most likely puts 7 on the board.
You have no basis for assuming a throw that hits Cooper in stride would’ve been caught. Him slowing down slightly didn’t decrease his chances of catching the ball whatsoever. He was still open and still got both hands on it. The defender had zero to do with the drop.
Yes, the drop was 100% on Cooper and he’d tell you the same. So would his coaches.
