It just shows you how easy it is to manipulate people. Welp the letter said he did it so it just be true. I think most that think like this honestly already thought he should be suspended to "teach" him a lesson. I wonder how many would want the same nfl logic used on them?

Your logic is flawed. The "letter", a piece of paper did not judge Zeke. The letter, rather, explains that numerous credible, objective people looked into every aspect of this matter, including fair and full hearings with Zeke's side and judged him guilty.

I do not for a moment think all the people brought in to this are part of a big anti-Cowboys conspiracy.

What is funny is that Robespierre in his letter says, you didn't provide evidence to show you didn't do it. Um, that is not up to Zeke to prove a negative.

You can't use some clipboard incident to say he might beat women. That's a stretch of the wildest proportions. Using that logic most players in the nfl should be easily believed they are going upside women's heads all willy nilly. Football is an emotional game and stuff like that happens don't try to make that then translate into beating people.
Oh c'mon Phil! I love ya man but that dude was clearly an animal with temper issues. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume other players have knocked clipboards out of coaches hands but how many of them were accused of DV? All I'm saying is where's there's smoke, there's fire. I know it was after the fact but being caught with cocaine also doesn't help. I never said it made him automatically guilty, it just could lead to people questioning his character and credibility a la Zeke.

You can believe what you want. Qualified people looked into this with ALL the evidence and concluded that Zeke broke NFL conduct policy.

What NFL did w other issues, their desire to make Zeke an example, their hatred of the Cowboys, etc. can all be brought up at appeal. Games may be reduced but he will remain guilty under the conduct policy.

I for one hope Zeke stops being stupid and putting his life and career in peril.

And I hope this culture of bad behavior in the NFL and prevalent on my team the Cowboys is nipped in the bud.

I can deal with 6 football games.

Why do you think the NFL has more qualified people than the police department and the prosecuting offices from Ohio and Florida?

You can say Zeke's been stupid but that doesn't make him a woman beater.

who cares? What can jerry do about it? Unbeat the woman?
We care..that's why someone asked.
Having the support or Jones will help Zeke and future players from this happening again. There will be another collective bargaining deal in the future...having a powerful owner like Jones side with the players will help avoid this down the road. It sounds like Zeke's parents are ready for a legal war.... we will be ok with or without Zeke in my opinion.

and it wouldn't matter if Jerry could "unbeat" the woman...the league apparently makes decisions based on the credible words of sex slaves these days.

It's all on Zeke.

If he could have kept his nose clean with this being the only issue at hand, he would have a much better leg to stand on.

Rule #1 for any rookie, stay off TMZ.

But don't let that stop you from blaming everyone but the player.
The golden age post personal responsibility.

Lol it's the NFL, not the FBI.

Their head of DV is an admitted die hard Giants fan.

Once again, this is a 'private' enterprise that's shown at no point to even care about being considered objective. Nor, apparently, do they have to be.

post of the day

No, it's not - it doesn't even freakin' mention the problem here, and it's the NFL and it's fans in general.

This is not about Zeke, this is about past incidents creeping up and making the NFL scared to let something go. All the NFL sees here is "DV", nothing else. Zeke is getting lumped in with Hardy (Which even then was overblown)

That'st the freakin' issue. So, all the fans here who were cheering this crap in the past, welp, this is what happens. People need to start looking at that FACTS of a case and stop going for witch hunts. The fans are just as much to blame as anyone else.

Actually in this case the NFL did in fact conduct a much more thorough investigation than the local Columbus PD and DA. And they moved along slowly and methodically and shared all information w Zeke's side and allowed him rebuttal.
Actually, you show you don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about. The NFL cannot subpoena witnesses to testify before the grand jury. They can't subpoena evidence. They can't put anyone under oath. I'm in my 28th year as a Federal Agent, so I know what I'm talking about. The released information says that the NFL interviewed a dozen or so witnesses and reviewed photos, etc. That took over a year????? I've interviewed a dozen witnesses in a day or two and I've completed extremely complex investigations in much less time. The NFL knew what its decision was going to be before undertaking this so-called investigation. Call it the Ray Rice scared ******** effect.

But yet not a single police department or DA office considered arresting Zeke after doing their investigations? How do you explain that?

knucklehead, yes but not a 6 game knucklehead

I disagree. He may or may not deserve 6 games for the incident with his girlfriend, how ever when he pulled on the woman's top, exposing her, that's a sexual assault. Now the girl ended up being fine with it, however at the time he did it, it was a sexual assault.

Seems like there is little doubt there was indeed something there. Hopefully it will be reduced a game or two via appeal.

No other running back we have is the total package like Zeke is for sure, but we have some decent backs on the team. I just hope Zeke doesn't implode and turn into a basket case. We will need him later in the season.
I am not taking the NFL's word. they are proven liars. I want to see what they have.

The NFL statement seemed kind of like BS.

Digital evidence (texts) I believe can tell a story.

But what is photographic evidence? How is that legitimately a thing?

Police photographs? Or photographs from the 'victim' who has been caught lying before?

Their attempt to be transparent isn't transparent enough.
