It should be known now that you never ever give the ball back to Jalen Hurts

But being fair to him, he doesnt need to be. His legs (and contract) gives him a threat for the next couple of years. The fact that he has that X-Factor that he can step up in adversity gives enough ammunition to build around.
The Eagles offensive line was being outplayed by the Chiefs defensive front on many key downs but Hurts stayed patient and helped the offense get it done in the 4th quarter. It was clearly a difficult night to throw the ball due to the weather. Mahomes wasn't helped by his receivers dropping well thrown balls but that's football.

Eagles have now beaten the Chiefs, Dolphins, Cowboys and Vikings. 4 good/very good teams of .500 or over.

They will beat the Bills next week in my view adding to the above list.

Aside from that, the 49ers game will be interesting as of course will the return game against the Cowboys.

I like Hurts the man better than the player. Good kid and story. I still hate the Eagles though and we match up with them. San Francisco is the team to beat in the NFL.

Forget Hurts. It's their defense. You give most QBs that many chances they'll do something eventually

CBS Sports put out this release:

*Hurts has 13 consecutive wins against teams with winning records, breaking a tie with Peyton Manning and Vinny Testaverde for the most in NFL history.
*Hurts recorded his seventh straight victory when his team trailed by 10-plus points, extending his own record in the process.
*Since the stat was first tracked in 1991, Hurts is the only quarterback with five straight victories when his team trails by double digits (streak at seven). Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, and Vinny Testaverde each have four straight wins when their team trails by 10-plus points -- tied for second on the all-time list.
*Hurts has a .389 win percentage when trailing by 10-plus points, the second-best mark in the Super Bowl era (Patrick Mahomes is first with .560). Hurts is 8-11 when trailing by 10-plus points in his career, having a better win percentage than Tom Brady (.378) and Joe Montana (.370) -- third and fourth people on the list.
*What Hurts is accomplishing is unprecedented, as he's 26-2 in his last 28 starts. The Eagled are 9-1 in consecutive seasons for the first time in franchise history as a result.

Get ready for the nut-slobbing to go into overtime if the Eagles somehow win the Super Bowl. For some reason, I have no hatred for Hurts, unlike some former Eagle player and coaches. Hurts just seems like Dak, both being very decent people.

Next meeting, we knock them down a peg or two. We WILL win the next game against them.

Hurts is a class act. He has a sensational demeanour with a level headed temperament. He concentrates on the sidelines, no dear in the headlights look about him regardless of the score. He doesn't get too up or down just gets on with business.

Good lord this thread is full of pee and vinegar sheesh!

Why's everyone so angry?
Because deep down everyone knows the bottle job by Prescott against the Eagles during the last two drives and/or his inability to raise his game against the worst or one of the worst teams in football has cost the Cowboys the #1 seed despite him padding his stats against horrific teams under. 500.

Yet they will deflect the blame and responsibility as usual.

If any of you believe that Hurts is the reason why they are winning, give me some proof. These wins are happening, due to miscues from undisciplined players and bad coaching from their opponents. KC was the better team last night, the players didn't execute for 90 minutes. Philly was powerless to stop them, but they took advantage of their mistakes.

It is what it is. Part of the reason for it is because Desai is really good at halftime adjustments. 3 best offenses we played this year:

Miami

Dallas

KC

13 combined second half points allowed. So no it’s not the best scenario to be in, but we have a few factors going in our favor when those scenarios occur
I mean that’s kind of slanted. Take the Cowboys game. That 2nd half was more at what Dallas didn’t do than what Philly did. There was some serious luck involved here.

The Eagles are executing their game better than other good teams when it matters. That's football. People talk about the Kelce fumble whereas if that play happened against the Cowboys the focus would be on the opportunistic play by the defender not the fumble itself.

Hurts makes the plays when required in the clutch and that's what matters. The Eagles are not bothered about him scoring 5 touchdowns in a blow out against a terrible team - scoring is for show winning is for dough.

He's Mr Clutch.

That game last night was more about what the Chiefs didn't do in key moments. It wasn't all Hurts. If the Chiefs offense didn't turn the ball over a couple of times when they were in position to put the game away, then Hurts wouldn't have been able to do enough to come back and win that game. The Chiefs offense having so many miscues can be credited as a big reason for why the Eagles won.

This is exactly the style of game in which some on this forum would claim the defense won and not really the QB if it was the Cowboys.

The Vikings won games in a similar fashion all throughout the regular season last year and then in the playoffs were one and done. Don't know if that will happen this season with the Eagles, but it is something to acknowledge.

On the flip side, good teams take advantage of mistakes, and the person who just happened to score the winning TD was Hurts. It certainly isn't the first time he's done it as well. At the end of the day, only wins and losses count.

14/22 150 yards, 1 INT and no TDs.

The woodrow you have over mediocre is bad enough.

Chiefs obviously have shown they don't need the best WR in Football to win a superbowl but they've also shown they need better talent out at receiver. Kelce is elite at the TE spot, but they got JAGs at WR.
