If he's pretty good, why did he get only a bit over $1 mil.? Yes, he's a Texas native, that may be all there is to it.

But he'll have a "tough row to hoe" as the used to say, being behind Lamb, Gallup (eventually), Brown, Fehoko, Tolbert and a couple of other veteran receivers.

Not dissing the guy, not unusual for a player to just not be a good fit with one team but improves with another. Also to do the opposite, as well.

And what JAG is suddenly going to do better under a hercky-jerky QB such as Dak???

This is OUR world: Lots of unknowns in RB, WRs and O line. Topped by a leadership-deficient and often rattled QB.

Only a Deebo or an Adams could sustain his numbers with a robot like Dak.

Times sadly have changed in the NFl. With free agency,the cap, players own off field platforms and ventures. It's complicated. The front office has struggled to adjust.Thats being kind. Lol.

Like I been saying..he's built thick like a rb. If folks think he might be a slot wr they are wrong. That's just not what he is. He's more a rb hybrid guy

he may be built well similar to an Anquan bolden but hes not a RB

rbs hybrids dont put up numbers at WR, like his best season

umm 16.7 YPC and his career average close to 15

seriously, Thats not a rb type average. he will replace Wilsons production and thats all we need. But its nice to know hes built rock solid so he can be used lie poor mans deebo.

he has better career numbers then Wilson.

You may be right. I've watched him play and if he's asked to run the ball , he can. Trust me. I wouldn't ask him to be exclusively a rb. But like u said, he can.. He's a strong player.
 
I have seen that new place, new faces spark some careers but I am a skeptical about players that were not kept by their former teams when it is not cap related and he couldn't get more playing time in PIT. That WR corps was not top 10 but then that QB was bottom 10 so he might have the chance to resurrect the belief that made him a 2nd rounder.

I did like him at OSU and thought he would have a better pro career than he did just as I hoped Amari Cooper would not show the inconsistencies he did in OAK and I was wrong. He took the same act to another town.

I actually think the best WR on this team is Gallup and have a lot of hope for Tolbert. He could be special.
 
I think he will too he’s very talented. He’s exactly what the team needs a playmaker. I do worry about him stepping into a new playbook so I don’t expect much this year but I hope he gets closer to 5-10 targets a game and not the 2-3 he got in Pitt

Well, while Gallup's out, we need him to actually replace Cooper's production as the No. 2 receiver, unless Tolbert can do that. Otherwise, teams will double Lamb knowing that no one else we have can regularly win one-on-one matchups.
 
I doubt it. Wouldn't be surprised if he's cut when Gallup gets back.

Yeah. I'm certainly not saying it's a bad signing. He may just be a player who didn't really get the opportunity to show what he can do and because of that, no one was sure enough about his ability to offer him much. But we also can't be sure that's the case. He may just be another second-round pick that doesn't live up to the pick.

I always hope that the players we sign play above their low-ball pay, but keep myself checked with the reality that most don't. The year we traded for Cooper, we signed two low-ball free-agent WRs, Deonte Thompson and Allen Hurns. Hurns was a more accomplished receiver than Washington. Both guys being mediocre precipitated the Cooper trade.

Fortunately, we weren't 100 percent looking for a No. 1 or No. 2 this year, like we were then, but with Gallup's injury, we will need someone to step up into the No. 2 role for at least part of the season. I don't know if Washington is up for that any more than Thompson or Hurns was. I hope so, or that Tolbert will make a quick adjustment, but I'm not counting on it.
