A third round comp is better than and as conditional as the 2018 4th round pick they traded for
Where's the guarantee they're getting one?

He is fine........it is a power move by Belichick who must feel he is losing the defense....they are pumping up the rookie and BMingo as repalcementsIs he or will he be healthy this season? I know he just came back from injury and was limited, but I don't know any of the injury details.
Who cares about your semantics........they are guaranteed not to have him for the playoffsWhere's the guarantee they're getting one?
It is interesting because those teams also did a trade on Mingo. He is fine........it is a power move by Belichick who must feel he is losing the defense....they are pumping up the rookie and BMingo as repalcements

they might have to forfeit the pick they get from CLE.....no guarantees ever if you want to be pedantic
It is High School debate tricks......you think if you can narrowly define a question to get the answer you want then you win the entire debate......whether or not a pick is guaranteed is not the argument"Semantics"? Try facts of the matter.

my assertion is that the Pats made a big mistake trading their best defender 2 years in a row for cap space and draft picks...worst case they use Collins for a SB run and possibly get a comp pick if they don't spend big in FA(which they never do)
So play your juvenile word games and keep avoiding the topic...........churlish
I'm not ignoring anything but your asinine opinions...peaceNot your argument maybe. But, if so, I don't see where you have any valid reason to criticize them.
And you keep on choosing to ignore the entire picture because it messes up your opinion of it. And then project your own failings on someone else. Really looks like you need to do more homework to be better informed of the big picture.
You don't get to just ignore the components you don't like.

Sam is a part time player in today's nfl. Teams play much more nickel and dime due to the spread offenses. Would be a waste of money and Damien Wilson has played pretty well so far at that spot.I wouldn't mind seeing us go after him in the offseason.
RDE- 1rst round pick, Randy Gregory, Charles Tapper
3T- Tyrone Crawford, David Irving
1T- Maliek Collins, Cederic Thorton
LDE- DeMarcus Lawrence, Benson Mayowa
WLB- Sean Lee, Damien Wilson
MLB- Jaylon Smith, Anthony Hitchens
SLB- Jamie Collins, Kyle Wilber
Would be a pretty good front 7
