Garrett 2.0 is coming in Kellen Moore:facepalm: God help us.....
Not so fast.

Once Stephen hears they will need a state of the art mic system so the players can hear him address the team, talks could head south.

That guy has ‘decent coordinator but bad HC’ written all over him. Doesn’t matter. Jerry has the plane headed into the mountain no matter what he does or doesn’t do.

I might actually rather see him humiliate himself than win. Much more likely.

when did jerry become a cheap skate

i dont get that or was he always like that and i do not remember

cause just a couple year ago he was talking all big about how he would sign a huge huge check if it mean cowboys could win a super bowl
When it comes to paying coaches he has always been cheap.

he says he does not believe in paying coaches. You can believe him or look at reality:

Coaches salary is paid by the owner directly. Players money is payed by the salary cap.
Or better: Players salaries are financed by the salary cap implementation. So the owner does not pay those by his own money. It is payed thru the revenue of TV contracts, merchandising etc for every NFL franchise.

Thank you for the recap.

Cheapies - great.
Incentive based contract - he think this is investment banking?

Its going to be Kellen and convince Zim to stick around, that's my guess.
You know what Jerry is just an absolute embarrassment. He is embarrassing his self across the country ,and he is destroying this once great football team.

Dude. You are a mess.

All operational costs including the salary of the head coach is paid by the team revenue. The same pool of money that's paying the players is paying the coaches, scouts, etc. Jerry's not digging into his own pocket to pay his head coach anymore than he is for the players.

It's so crazy that he's cheap on the non-cap deals but free flowing on the ones he should have planned well in advance on (Dak, etc) that go against the cap. He truly thinks coaching is not important enough to pay for probably cause he saw Switzer win after Jimmy missing the whole point of how the team was built in the first place smh
Your preaching to the choir ,that is about how I see it too .He has no respect for his coaches ,he sure does not give them much to work with talent wise.Jerry has reached the point in life where he does not have to answer to anybody and nobody can tell him anything .Because he thinks he is smart at football and he is not.

I dnot think it’s a situation of him being a cheapskate. It’s him continuing to undervalue the head coach position.

thats not how i know it. can you provide a link for what you say?

Players salary is paid from the tv, merch etc revenue. this revenue is to 100% shared between all teams. 42% goes for players salaries (which in fact determines the height of the salary cap) the rest is for the owners. this is part of the salary cap contract between the league and the NFLPA.

Coaches salary is paid from every teams revenue aka owners money. the teams revenue is NOT the leagues revenue. it is not part of the salary cap contract. Which is one reason why coaches salaries are not salary capped.

Give me your opinion ,do you think Vrabel could have had success here.If hired by the Cowboys with Jerry at the helm.
You betcha. Tough minded football coach. Remember a few years ago and they were out of the playoffs with all the injuries and we were on our way to the playoffs and they pushed us around? The nice thing with his team was everyone was physical. That’s what we’ve lacked for 20 years….
