Jason Hatcher on what’s different about Washington: The head coach isn’t policing the team

only in the CZ can this drivel (by Hatcher) get 200 posts (including mine of course :D)...why is he talking again? he wanted to leave for money, no problem...now leave already...as a Commander, you are dead to me

He already has money! He wanted to go to the Commanders so he can have his own room like a big boy.

he has it now! unfortunately for him, he might have sniffed the playoffs with Dallas...he will need a HUGE breeze to push that scent his way in Washington...

Bro, it is a well know fact that x-players always sign with the Commanders for the money. Oh...and so the coaches won't tell them what to do. That is important if you want to be a big boy...

I never said your use of "revolutionary" (once you explained it in the context of Hatcher only) was incorrect...I said that revolutionary actually means change.

You claimed it didn't.
No, I said it also means new.

No, I said it also means new.

Actually, revolutionary does mean "new". Change takes place all the time, but it does not mean it's revolutionary. I can change the place where I live, but if I can change my house to live on Mars? That is revolutionary.

Hence my sig line. Been tried and true since Danny Boy got his toy.

I can't stand Hatchers mouth anymore it was wearing thin here and I'm not a JG fan he can enjoy playing for the golden boy and new coach RG3-13. Debate solved glad I could be of assistance

So then your original response makes no sense whatsoever:

"Notice I said "has been spoiled . . . . " Past tense. Something he already had experienced. Its hard to have that taken away."

Me: veterans getting their own room is "spoiling and catering to" them?
You: Notice I said past tense.

At any rate, established vets getting their own room is hardly spoiling them. It's a perk given for continuously producing at a high level. Much like a company handing out a Christmas bonus isn't "spoiling" the employees or "catering" to them.

What I said makes perfect sense. In what i said and how I replied. Twist how ever you want. This isnt KJJ w/ a new screen name is it? :D

Based on what you posted, the room by himself was something he HAD (past tense) and when Marty chose the roommates he DID NOT HAVE (present tense) what he HAD (past tense) previously. So yea, having something in the past that was taken away (to use what you said in your post) is like a spoiled kid having something taken away. Maybe the kid/player can justify why he should have it, but the parent/coach thot it was best for him to not have it presently. Maybe, just maybe the HC thot it was a good idea overall for the team. Maybe he was wrong in what he thot, maybe he wasnt, but the response by the veteran players was still similar to that of a spoiled kid having something taken away.

Lil Country Club atmosphere with Danny's boys.

“Every coach has a different approach, but there’s a lot of things different here,” Hatcher said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. “I don’t want to go into details about it because I don’t want to get blamed like, ‘Oh, he said this about Dallas…’

“They really take care of the veteran guys. They give us more say-so over the team. This is our team. The head coach don’t want to be policing the team. This is our team, so when we set the foundation for this football team, the way it’s supposed to go, that’s the way it’s supposed to go, through the players and not the coaches. It’s a players team, so whatever we say goes, pretty much, if it’s going in the right direction.”

Yeah, well...a head coach should police his team. Players just think they know better.

And if the players know better in Ole DC thats just fine, especially with all those high character guys on the roster.

RGMe and his dad can lead as well.

Sean Payton is a micromanager. What's wrong with a head coach being a micromanager?

Ever met a skid fan who actually didn't like something their team.

They are almost the anti cowboy fan in that respect.

I think it's less about liking and more about respecting.

It's not possible to like someone as a person and not like their leadership skills?

I suffer that situation everyday in my work life.

Skid fan just like you.

Had a harder time trying to give these comments a positive spin then you are though.

Said the team needs a harder edged coach.
