Jayden Daniels is better than Dak

In all fairness to Dak, he was a 4th round pick and was never targeted to be anything compared to a 2nd overall pick. Dak is what he was supposed to be, which isn't a QB able to take us to the promised land without a whole lot of help. WFT has stunk it up for a while, and they now can benefit from those years of futility. All we can do is watch some of these young QB's and be jealous that one plays in the same State and the other in our division

I agree with everything you said … the caveat though is what you described should not be the highest paid player in nfl history, leading to eventual inability to sign top end players on defense.

Much more talented and dynamic. Best of all he’s on a rookie contract. The Commanders are in a much better position than the Cowboys going forward. Congrats to Dan Quinn.
How about that! That kid Daniels in a matter of 3 games is showing rapid improvement. He is very fast but is now using his legs to buy him more time and things are slowing down for him. He will only get better. He is going through his reads quickly and has a live arm. It's going to take time but he is going to be a problem for the Cowboys for many years. That's what pedigree gets you.

Some fans are so smug they assume the cowboys are just entitled to beat the giants and commanders every year. Despite what the actual teams look like that year.
No one will be surprised if the Cowboys lose to the Giants after the last two loses. The Cowboys are a bad football team and have to take the season game by game.

Dak was not the highest paid player in the league. The previous eight seasons. What was causing the inability up to this point?

No player remains the highest paid in the league or even at their position over time. Another contract will eventually eclipse that player's contract.

Dak Prescott's current contract will eventually be topped at some point. However, Prescott has previously been the highest paid player in NFL history when he signed his previous 2021 contract extension.

This is a silly assessment after 3 games. Dak has has great games during his career too.

But he seems to be very dynamic, makes good quick decisions, and he has a running game and WRs that get open.

Burrows put up 33 points. The offense did their job
Offense and special teams put up 33 points. Joe Burrow contributed 18 points via three touchdown passes. He would have tallied 20 points if his two-point conversion pass attempt had been successful.

Dallas (and by that I mean Jerry) refuses to be below the median to truly allow this team to reset. We’ve been treading water since they lucked into Romo and then lucked out again with Dak. That’s literally almost two decades of not properly allowing the team to naturally reset and recoup talent via high end draft picks. Washington has sucked over the past few years and it seems like they’re reaping the benefits. Sometimes you need to take a step back to take two steps forward but when the bottom line is the bottom line that just isn’t an option

Trevor Lawrence....yikes.

Most gifted and groomed College QB prospect ever...ALL THE SCOUTS would have put their name on it...

And th-th-th-th-thats right folks....hasnt won anything at the NFL level, not a force multiplier, cant put a team on his shoulders...

The best prospect at QB maybe ever. Groomed pocket passer with turn-key NFL skills...and he average.

Its not the ball club being bad...its that scouts and professionals cant even make good educated guesses on QB's working out in the league.

Yet...everyone wants to snub their nose at market prices and go rookie contract...and then refuse to answer questions about what they would do when their rook contract QB is up for extension. lol. they will pay an average QB that wins a super bowl, but kick a good QB to the curb that hasnt won one, lol. or...they will claim they will turn over the QB position until they find their Michael Jordan...without wanting to talk about the issues that come with that decision. lol.

the matrix doesnt know what to do here...its chasing its own tail lol

This is the same forum who said that Wentz would be an elite QB on the level of Mahomes for the next 10 years. Let's see what Jayden does after a few seasons. As it's common for this board and NFL fans and media in general to crown a QB after one good season.
Yall have to stop this strawman argument

Wentz was clearly better than Dak his second year in the league and wouldve actually won MVP had he not got injured. He had 33 TDs in 13 games with Zach Ertz being his leading receiver. It took Dak until year 5 to throw for as many tds and he needed Ceedee Lamb and Amari Cooper on his team to do it
