Or we might not. We might actually realize that we can do much better.
Maybe believe that Jarwin could be better. Or he just had a lucky game that was against a team that had given up on there season.

So what then were you saying? Why did you bother to bring it up then? You want to project all of this on everyone else, when the genesis of the whole conversation is you - and worrying about what poor Geoff Swaim might think about all this? And then you have the nerve to call anyone else a "drama queen" about anything? That's hilarious! Go look in the mirror, at the guy all caught up in Geoff Swaim's feelings.
Now we have an internet tough guy.
You are so manly.

Again what are you talking about?
Please tell me what I am allowed to think about. I never said I was worried about anyones feelings. This is you needed to add words to someone else to keep an argument going.
So I read a tweet from Jaylon and I wonder how the current TE's feel about this. I am not Jerry Jones. I dont make decisions for who we sign. You are one of those guys that seems to get lost in football message board talk and reality.[/quyote]

Again? Who felt compelled to bring it up? YOU DID! It begins and ends with YOU, not anyone else.

The initial comment was just in good fun.
You launch into a debate pretending we somehow impact what happens to the roster. Which role are you playing today? Stephen? Jerry?.....can I be JG today? Gotcha.

Oh, now it's "good fun". The same rules you try to hold others to, apparently don't hold true for you in your world. It's "just in good fun".

Nothing "fun" about it. And that's where it started and that's how we got here. You want to blame anyone for that, blame the guy who brought it up.

I don't know that the Giants "gave up", but they were definitely playing short-handed, especially at the positions that were covering Jarwin. I don't want to totally discount the performance either but there were some qualifying factors involved. I'll just say that I'm optimistic for the futures of both Jarwin and Schultz and leave it at that. That optimism is part of why I would be OK with taking a chance on an injury risk like Eifert.

What a coincidence......he either know or heard something ( maybe he's a Zone member lol ). Either way, like I said in another thread, I'm penciling this a done until something officially says otherwise.

Is that emoji Jaylon welcoming Tyler with open arms?

Let's remember Stephen was pretty clear about upgrading the position. This to me shows a lack of confidence in whether any of our current TE can play at a high level.

Ehh, why not. It comes down to price for me mostly, and I think the cost will be reasonable. TE is a cheap position and Eifert's billions of injuries will have a lot of teams scared off.

Scientific wild-A guess: 1 year, $5 million.

Tyler Eiffert has literally missed more games than he’s played. I don’t understand why so many fans here think that’s going to change if we sign him. The second most important “ability” a player should have is “availability”. When you can’t stay healthy enough to play half of your games....no thanks.

I agree. I think people are just following along, tow-in-line, to the way this team takes chances on stupid players like this. Same as the ones with substance abuse issues. Furthermore, we have to have a "extra special" TE....fullback? Maybe, maybe not. We definitely need a short player with quickness on the field, you know, the Dunbar, Beasley, Austin, types... Our offense needs its very key pieces, otherwise it is not quite there until we get those special ones. Our owner, HC, etc. are stuck in a time warp, and in turn we've been dumbed down to accept this raggedy ran team. This is not narrative. We cannot operate out of basic principled ways to run a team. All lines can be crossed by players with this team and it is b/c of Jones. We should get someone who will have a higher probability of staying on the field. How he could be considered by some of you is terribly strange. His injury history is a train wreck. Taking a flyer on him is silly when he may not make it out of training camp. We need to get out of this Jones over-two-decade stupor which has relegated some of you to a level where you are thinking like Jerry is and making arguments for a move like this.

Stay away from this guy, period. Our resources can be used better elsewhere.

The reason why I would be willing to roll the dice on his well-established injury history is that I have faith in Jarwin and Schultz continuing to develop behind him.

If I had that faith I'd just go with them and let them develop faster.

A change in environment can make all the difference whether it's the training techniques or just something in the air.

e.g. How many games did Mo Claiborne miss for us compared with his last two seasons at the Jets? They have pretty much got as much production out of him over two years than we got over four years.

If we can get a good deal for Tyler then I say we take him. We can always draft a tight end as it looks a deep class. All it takes is for him to have some luck with injuries to have a clear season and it could be massive.

We don't know if Blake Jarwin will actually kick on next season where as Eifert is a Pro Bowl calibre TE and he could be HUGE in our offense.
