No the thing is Reeves wants it. I would've never thought that was true but he was interviewed during the Shrine game and the reporter asked him about coaching again.

I fully expected he'd say no thanks, my work is done there.. but instead he said.. Well you know, I had a great run.. 23 straight years before I stepped away for awhile.. but I'd really like to make it 24 or 25.

Then of course the report that he actually even called Jerry about it the other day. Now if he actually has like 5 years in mind, well nevermind.

As for his health.. he says it checks out.

I would be cool with that then. I like the idea of a HC with some experience.
If bringing a Reeves type who understands his roll is what it takes I would do it.

Jeff Fisher was just on Fox radio and said that in the NFL now coaches go to teams that have staff members already in place more and more...that it wasnt common in past years but that has changed around the league some.

said that coaches dont always go in and name their whole staff if there are coaches already there under contract...that it isnt a big deal unless that coach has some specific problem with a coach already there or whatever.

but hey..what would Jeff Fisher know? I mean its happened even this offseason in Miami and Zona but some here think its totally taboo....

I think this is a extremely valid point. Those who was screaming because JJ hired a OC before he hired a HC seem to be jumping the gun some.

I geuss it's okay, no matter who they bring in as HC, the coordinators will need to answer to the HC first, if not, and they think they can just run to JJ when things get tough, then it's not going to work. Other than that, I have no problems with it.

Thnx Hos, I learned some thing there. I said before I have no problem with JG as OC. Head coach was a huge reach to me.

I think he needs some seasoning before he tries on a head coach gig too... he might be 2-3 years of being an offensive coordinator away from being ready to run the whole show, IMO...
