Jeff Heath has as many interceptions as the entire Cowboys Defense

No......I actually like Jeff Heath i thought he played hard and gave it his best

But.....Jeff Heath makes one clutch play every 4 weeks and the rest of the time has issues with coverage

So he's like the guys we have now but with a clutch play every 4 weeks.

And the crazy thing, in a post I made last week, I found that Jeff Heath had only played 13% of the Raiders defensive snaps in the first 4 weeks of the season. He has been primarily a ST guy for them. Yet he has as many INTs as our entire defense? That is depressing.

On the bright side, since "almost interceptions" has really taken off in the forum this year, our defense is GREAT in that area.

If we had Heath and Jones are secondary would be in much better shape...
If we had Heath and Jones our secondary would still be a joke, all of you fools have no recognition whatsoever of talent.
We didnt have it then and we definitely dont have it now.
How is getting back to sucking, any better... lol at a lot of posters that think they know anything about talent.

He intercepted Mahomes yesterday and it was a huge interception that really helped the Raiders win the game.

Would love to have Heath back on this team.

Never got all the hate for him.

This defense needs him.

Can he tackle consistently? That was his problem.

The cowboys were holding him back ;)

I'd love to have Jeff Heath back to, but that is only because our safeties are the worst in the league. That we would not replace Heath knowing for a full year he would be moving on is just another in a long list of GM failures we can blame on Jerry. I find it hard to believe the Cowboys front office could not come up with a safety in the offseason better than who we are playing now?

I’m unwilling to admit everybody got it wrong about Jeff Heath. We were so sure, and we never make those sorts of mistakes.

there is a whole lot of players better than entire cowboys defense.

Not here. I defended and applauded that guy the whole time he was here.

But, I understand why they didn't pay him. Injuries were mounting.

That is, i thought they'd actually replace him, so I guess they should have paid him versus doing essentially nothing.

I liked Heath, not as a starter. But to come in and make a few plays here and there. however he sure is better than what we have out there now.

The best situation for Heath is as core ST and come in for sub packages when they need deep zone.

His best plays were always when he had the play in front of him. Had the speed to cover the field pretty well. Was getting good at breaking on the ball in 2016, 2017. But 2018 on, they put him at SS, close to the LOS, where he was a relative liability. Wasted the GOAT.

how many picks did he get for the cowboys. he gets one with the raiders and suddenly he's the next coming of duct tape or wd-40.

So when does Jerry plan to draft a safety? We've been needing one since Darren Woodson retired.

A lot of the players aren't as bad as people deem them to be. It's putting them in the position to find success. That's coaching. Using their strengths. I bet if you'd get a good Defensive coach, we'll learn that our players is fine. Bill Belecik can do it with backups.

Certainly could do more with what we have. But not so much at S. Thompson and Wilson aren't NFL starters. We're just so hurting at S and DT, and there's no help coming.

Never got all the hate for him.

Because that is what some fans do. We had a UDFA give us average performance for minimum draft capital and minimum salary.

Which is awful for some reason.

Crazy to think Jeff Heath is playing well as a reserve safety playing in certain passing downs

Sarcasm

Heath was leading the team in INTs for years. Not saying much, but no one else was doing better.

GOAT!
