agreed....im all for fixing it BUT..

how many games has it truly effected i mean i can only remember 10 times since 2009 it effected a play but not much impact on a game's outcome, why is it such a big deal..

Crayons drop was the dagger. I dont like it, but coach around it and turn it into an advantage. It's our home field. We should be smarter.

He's a billionaire, Get some retractable shades put in the budget. Sheesh!!
The man bought himself a $250 million dollar yacht. Money is not the issue. It would be chicken feed for him to pay for permanent adjustments that would be aesthetically functional for the stadium.

The sun works both ways. I don't see how it puts us at a competitive disadvantage. You would think the home team would be smart enough to adapt.
Like maybe not call a fade pattern to that side of the field

So once in the red zone, the defense knows we can only use one side of the field for play calls because of the sun?
that an exaggeration my man, been there since 2009 and just about the same amount of plays effected as the big screen on punts.. its part of the stadium. all for it being remedied but a discussion about it is lesson in futility..not a big deal.

So, a receiver gets open, and the QB should refuse to throw the ball his way because of the sun?!?!
Yes. Have you ever tried to catch a ball when the sun is blasting right in your face. You are basically blinded. Use this receiver as a decoy. Gallop had no chance to catch that ball.

When on defense use less defenders on that side of the field. Have safety help on the other side.

Jerry should do the smart thing and fix it!! But will he? We need to adapt until Jerry wakes up!!!!!!

After being told multiple times by the stadium’s architects when it was being built that it was a fundamentally bad idea to have the field run East-West. He loves the look.

The stayjum was finished 13 years ago. Apparently he’s been senile over a decade.

I never heard or seen that about the Architects telling Jerry that. However, not surprised I missed that either.
And IMO, if you look at the layout of that area, there really was not much of a choice to position the stadium. As in order to maximize the land, and parking options.
There is an apartment complex to the South they had to work around, and really could not be placed North and South. Maybe more of an angle toward the South could have been better. However the structural part with the long support arches may have been an issue.

I am sure there are some building codes they had to go by as well as not having that too close to the existing roads. The road on the south side they could work around and moved it. Unless the city said no.

Not taking up for Jerry bu any means. Just my observations without really looking at any measurements.

True. But Gallup is essentially open which probably is the first read. That's exactly how they drew it up for him. Except for that darn sun.
Coaches should know Gallop is looking into the sun, but fix it Jerry, so this is one less thing the coaches need to think about!!!

no him pulling up on route that was sure TD was the dagger but sure let's make big deal about something that since 2009 hardly been a debate, no one making this a big deal accept the same group that likes to take shots at the Jones family..

show me every single pay and game that was truly effected Moreso the outcomes of a game and any more or less than other outdoor stadiums with the SUN, wind, rain, ice, snow, and other things that are part of game since the first football game was played. it effects both teams in those situations and they adjust lie, pick the side of field so they are kicking with the wind in certain qtr , what's different?

tell Goodell to get better refs i can think of 60 bad calls or non-calls that affected the outcome of games, cant remember many over our window issue.

also recommend Goodell that not only does his refs suck but those come about field turf and injury's more than our windows and nothings been done about that..

I believe Crayton's drop was in Texas Stadium. You might be thinking of Miles Austin's drop because of the sun in his eyes, which was actually at AT&T stadium.

Watching our players (like Michael Gallup last Sat or Cedric Wilson last Jan in the playoffs) get blinded by the sun trying to catch a football when there are curtains available is just insane. I’ve watched several college and HS games at AT&T where those curtains ARE used so the sun is not a factor in games.

I’m hard pressed to think of another sports owner or executive with this kind of stubborn stupidity, who literally cares more about visual aesthetics than winning. It’s maddening.

AND…the multi-million dollar upgrades JJ is paying for aren’t designed to fix this.

This infuriates me as much as the fuhrer keepng Jimmy out of the ROH even though he said he would put him in.

No one in their right mind should believe that "Jerry wants to win".

Well you could have thrown the fade to the front corner if you wanted to go to that side!

Like I said, he is so small minded and ego driven that he can't take being wrong even about stuff like this. And, it is further proof that I want to win much more than Jerry does.

Watch it cost us a playoff game in the future.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases...onality-disorder/symptoms-causes/syc-20366662

Dementia (Senility)

Cognitive changes

  • Memory loss, which is usually noticed by someone else
  • Difficulty communicating or finding words
  • Difficulty with visual and spatial abilities, such as getting lost while driving
  • Difficulty reasoning or problem-solving
  • Difficulty handling complex tasks
  • Difficulty with planning and organizing
  • Difficulty with coordination and motor functions
  • Confusion and disorientation
Narcissistic personality disorder

Symptoms

  • Feel that they deserve privileges and special treatment.
<snip>
  • Expect special favors and expect other people to do what they want without questioning them.
  • Take advantage of others to get what they want.
  • Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.
<snip>
  • Behave in an arrogant way, brag a lot and come across as conceited.
  • Insist on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office.
____________________________

So.

On one hand, Jerry Jones remembers what the issue is. Scratch memory loss. He has zero problems stating his disagreement. Scratch difficulty communicating. He comprehends what the issue is. Scratch difficulty reasoning. Oh heck. Scratch everything else he has not displayed in public such as difficulty with visual and spatial abilities, reasoning and problem-solving, handling complex tasks. planning and organizing, coordination and motor functions (when he's sober) and confusion and disorientation.

On the other hand, Jerry Jones feels he should not address the issue since he owns absolute authority over stadium operations. He expects others to accept his reasoning about the issue without question. He takes advantage of both his players and other teams' players, who must always contend with the issue. Likewise, he demonstrates apathy for any player dealing with the issue. He is cavalier (i.e. arrogant) about the issue (e.g. "defers" to coaches). He exhibits all of the above while wanting the best events appear in the stadium, like college bowl games, etc.--while proactively addressing the issue for those non-Dallas Cowboys events.

Yet.

Some will still say he is going senile or is senile. Others do not think he senile but can only believe
it's just "ego."

Too funny.

Jerry's symptoms are of malignant narcissistic personality disorder.

:hammer::hammer: Just another ego centrical response from our GM. He'll draw the curtains only after Jimmy is enshrined on the wall.

Thats the only real problem I see. Dallas seems to be the only team ever affected meaning no one on the team has bothered to map it and understand when not to call plays that have WRs looking directly back into it. Many times, if they were just 5 feet one way or the other, it wouldn’t be a problem. Why run a corner route to the left side of the endzone when everyone in the building can see that corner is bathed in sunlight at the moment? Simply ridiculous. Run the damn play to the other side where there is no sun!
