I'll never see him in the same light.

Narcissistic , stubborn, arrogant and meglomaniac were things I accepted but outright threatening a man's livelihood is where I draw the line.

True colors came out today
He’s the most fragile, insecure billionaire I’ve ever seen. He cannot tolerate even the smallest suggestion that he’s responsible for not only the current mess we are in, but the nearly three decades of not even winning even a divisional playoff game.

Not only is he not a good GM…he’s a sad, pathetic figure who is tarnishing whatever reputation he earned as a brilliant businessman. A confident owner who cared primarily about the team and its accomplishments would have long ago fired this fool at the GM position.

It is frankly embarrassing.

F—k y-u Jerry Jones threatning the radio host jobs because they asked you questions you didn’t like. You are a ****** GM and yes it was all Jimmy Johnson that won the superbowls. I hope the cowboys never win another game. You are a coward!!!

He's even more pissed than I thought. He was really pissed when asked about a coaching change after the game on Sunday. Prolly the most pissed I can remember him being. This is probably a good thing.

I am a Cowboy and Knick fan. Believe it or not, James Dolan is worse in that regard than Jerry Jones is.

But, at least Dolan has taken a step back and hired competent people to run the team. Jones will never do that because seeing others succeed makes him miserable.

I was given access to the Miller Light Club for a game last year as a STH appreciation gift. If you’re not familiar with it, the team transits the Club going to and from the field. I was amazed at the response when Jerry came through. Fans were jockeying to get close enough to get an autograph and chanting “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry”. Casual fans are mesmerized by the celebrity. It’s the same throughout society for “celebrity.”
Absolutely right. I witnessed something similar but can’t recall exactly where. I’m thinking in the club level in Miami when he was walking out after the game.

I cannot understand that about people and why they behave that way no matter who they are…..and Jerry EATS it up. He will not be letting go of that one easily.

now he’s joking about going off on reporters outside the NFL meetings. He needs to be removed

"This is not your job. Your job isn't to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. I'll get somebody else to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. You're not going to figure it out what the team is doing right or wrong. If you are, or any five or 10 like you, you need to come to this (NFL) meeting I'm going to today with 32 teams here, you're geniuses.

"You really think you're gonna sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I've done wrong without going over the rights? Listen, we both know we're talking to a lot of great fans, a lot of great listeners. And I'm very sorry for what happened out there Sunday. I'm sick about what happened Sunday. "...

One of the stupidest things I've ever done, that anybody had ever analyzed was buy the Cowboys. It was an idiot that did that. So idiot things can turn into good decisions. Smart things can turn into bad decisions. The facts are when you make one, you don't really know if it's going to be good or not at the time. You want some conversation this morning, you're getting it."

Sounds like a super entitled brat!!

Reminds me of that Frank Ocean and Earl Sweatshirt song Super Rich Kids.

Jerry getting ripped apart in the media today for those idotic comments on the radio. This is great news that this happened today. Put pressure on the guy he has had an easy ride and the circus of an organization continues with Jerry at the helm.

I'll go one step further. I've been listening into First Take while I work. Shannon Sharpe and Marcus Spears said something that I couldn't agree more with. I DESPISE what Jerry did here. Just when I couldn't feel worse about Jerry, he does this. This is him attacking a guy who was doing his job holding Jerry accountable. Jerry wants the credit when things go well, then he needs to handle the criticism when things go poorly. For him to call for someone's job who was doing his job is DISGUSTING!! I am revolted by what Jerry did. He needs to call back into that radio show and apologise to the host!

And you know something? The way he just bullied a media person for something that is ENTIRELY on Jerry. I HOPE the Dallas Media comes to that host's defence. I hope they become like a hive against Jerry. I hope it becomes a situation where he just poked the wrong bear. I hope this starts a sequence where he gets run out of Dallas.

And, you know what? It's time we as fans stand up. It's time we learn how to criticise this team the way Philadelphia criticises their team. It's time to learn how to make it clear to the team that they're unacceptable in their current form.

We've seen this before, in a sense.

Just look up Dale Hansen's interview with Switzer, who said to Hansen "You don't know what you're talking about Dale Hansen".

As if being an actual football owner or coach is the ONLY way to be a knowledgeable NFL person...
Now that Dale Hansen has retired, he could start a Blog about Sports and talk about the Cowboys without fear of losing his job. Maybe just a fear of losing his life. j/k

Dale could now pose the tough questions he never had the gumption to when at WFAA. That would be a hoot !!!

And that's why I'm on a tear today. He is sensitive to criticism. We as fans can use that. We have 3 teams in our division who are experts in being brutally honest when their teams are bad. They're experts in being as brutal to their teams as necessary. Maybe, as much as we dislike them, maybe there's something we can learn from them that we can use in our approach with this team going forward.

We need the ball of criticism to be bigger. That's a good start, but we need more! We need it to be louder.

To play devils advocate here,,, let's agree the media is largely comprised of sensationalistic, simplistic, gas lighters who don't sit in on the meetings, don't have all the information, and don't consider all of the business and cap angles that the front office does. I think Jerry is insulted to be questioned and derided by the likes of them. It's like being hauled in front of congress and grilled for hours by a group that collectively represents all that is corrupt and wrong with the world. I can't imagine how hard that would be.
own a team that doesn't suck and you won't have to answer to it

Yeah, I don’t care that Jerry is a jerk and an arrogant, insecure, self-centered, narcissist billionaire. What grinds my gears is his stupid insistence that at 82 he’s also a capable NFL GM. This isn’t even an argument anymore. We haven’t won a divisional playoff game since my 40 year old son was 12.

There is no argument to be made FOR Jerry Jones being competent and capable of returning this team to SB glory. That ship sailed in the Phoenix desert nearly 30 years ago in SB 30. It’s pathetic.

Jerry, you are a disgrace. Time to go.
