"This is not your job. Your job isn't to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. I'll get somebody else to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. You're not going to figure it out what the team is doing right or wrong. If you are, or any five or 10 like you, you need to come to this (NFL) meeting I'm going to today with 32 teams here, you're geniuses.

"You really think you're gonna sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I've done wrong without going over the rights? Listen, we both know we're talking to a lot of great fans, a lot of great listeners. And I'm very sorry for what happened out there Sunday. I'm sick about what happened Sunday. "...

One of the stupidest things I've ever done, that anybody had ever analyzed was buy the Cowboys. It was an idiot that did that. So idiot things can turn into good decisions. Smart things can turn into bad decisions. The facts are when you make one, you don't really know if it's going to be good or not at the time. You want some conversation this morning, you're getting it."

The league should investigate Jerry Snyder! Find him guilty of threatening radio personalities and force this insanely stupid guy to sell the club to Jimmy Johnson!

It’s not senility, it’s the same thing it’s always been, it’s his narcissism. The Cowboys are the most valuable sports team in large part because of the fans and moreover, their loyalty. Let’s face it, they haven’t truly won anything in decades. They could have and probably should have ripped the band aid off this year for free agency and tried to address some big needs, tough to do it all through the draft. I think he knows it, although he will never publicly admit it, and that’s why he was so pissy about that line of questioning.

I find myself in the unusual position of rooting for the media I hope they tear this jackass apart
All the media is roasting Jerry from coast to coast, national media, local media in other markets, podcasts, etc.all of them are. I think there are plenty of reporters that would love to ask questions right now, just to push his buttons with the hopes of going viral.

You know, what's nuts is Dallas is coming off 3 straight 12-5 seasons and almost .600 winning percentage the last 10 years....but here we are.

The wheels seem to be falling off

As fans, you would think we would be ok, given the decent success the past years, but we aren't. I'm not....
I'm more PO'd now than I ever was during the Campo years, and I don't really know why it's so bad right now.

Is it the lack of playoff success?
Is it the getting bent over by Dak and his failures...given his salary?
Is it the failure the past 30 yrs (still have 8th most wins during that time)

What's different now than in the past?
Maybe it's just the realization we are struck with the Jones family for the foreseeable future, and the son might be worse than the dad.

The craziest thing is that he is expecting to replace the radio hosts.... A tyrant, I've never liked him. It's about time that he is replaced himself.
I'm not sure he was actually threatening to fire them, but Jerry speak can be hard to understand. I think he was saying he'd take his interviews to some other hosts if these hosts are going to grill him over what he's doing wrong.

However, it's Jerry, so I could be wrong and he actually thinks he has that power.

They certainly have our number, but they haven’t been very good so far this season. After the mega embarrassment we suffered against Detroit I could see the team showing up with some fire in their belly and giving San Francisco a game. If we don’t and it turns into another beat down, then we may not win 6-7 games.
Let's see how they fare against KC. That should be a good indicator of what to expect the week after.

Ever since the Steve Young days I really really dislike the Niners. A win against them after all those embarrassments would make me feel mui feliz!

I mean getting kicked in the nuts like that by the Lions is one thing. But those constant beat downs by the Miners have been devastating.

So if they can pull it off I'm still certain we won't go anywhere this year. But I'd wear a happy smile on my face the whole week making people think I'm high the whole time. And I'd thank Dak for that too!

Jerry has been doing this for a while, this is why all the local guys glaze him and push a lot of BS about the decision making. If they ask Jerry a hard question, he starts talking about how they'll be looking for a new job and blacklist them from the industry.

Dude is a real piece of crap. A cranky drunken old man who is realizing he's never going to relive those glory years before his final days come.

He doubled down later in the day in an interview and said he is paying those guys so yes he meant what he said

Honestly - this is the best thing that could happen to this franchise right now. Jerry is an entertainer by nature and trade, and I am enjoying the entertainment.

And the more the losses pile up, the more it will happen. He went after Cory Mageors a few years ago after the Chicago Bears embarrassed us on national television, but unlike that version of the Cowboys team - this one is destined for a nose dive. And a bad one. I could easily see losses in the next 5 games.

I think jerry needs to be investigated, like synder and his exec's, and gruden!
Lets see what jerry has said in HIS emails and text's !!

Then make him sell the team.

What he did publicly, threatning to get someone fired because he didnt like the questions, is totally out of line.

Directly, no Jerry does not have the power to fire them, but he does have the power to pressure the station's owners and managers to get it done. That is the Flagship station for the team and Jerry can threaten to take that privilege away and choose one willing to bend the knee to Jerry, basically take his ball and go home. That would be a big blow for the station, due to the large audience it brings them.

He's been doing this for at least 10 years now. It's why Micky and the rest are pointless to listen to - last time they asked Jerry any hard questions he threatened to clean out the building.

Not much can be done other than stop buying Cowboys merchandise and showing up to their games.
