his GM role is sperate yet some if you don't get that the Cowboys are Like Apple and Apple CEOs /owners #1 job is what? Sell your product, make it as popular as possible, so when next model comes out people, line up to buy it.

marketing is the #1 priority for all successful businesses, if you're not growing, you are dyeing!

I give you credit. You come up with so many new ways to justify Jerry and what he says or does.

If he wants to speak as the owner, great. Hire a GM. Because you can't speak as both when you say stupid stuff like above where your goal it to just have people talking about you. That might be your job description as owner, but as GM, that's a horrible job goal.

Because if at the end of the day, Jerry's biggest goal and the largest sign of his success is that his team is on the front page of sports web pages and and that everyone is talking about the things the he and the Cowboys have done, then he's gonna be a ****** GM because what he wants as an owner and what he wants as a GM can often not be aligned.

Which is about as poor as my AFC Bournemouth Cherries did during the transfer window. The difference is that Bournemouth is tiny and has a ground of just under 12,000 fans, compared to the colossal building Jerry's got. Not sure what Jerry's excuse is haha. But yes, surely keeping people talking about us wins championships......if the championship is winning the Forbes Bowl.

Sorry to differ with you but I could not disagree more with your last sentence.

Marketing is not the #1 priority, production of a quality product or service is. The Cowboys are the exception that a turd can be polished for so many years but the buyers aren't buying a product, they are buying belief.
