Isn't very sharp?

I'd say a running back who averages a whopping 25 touches per game should hold out to get paid. Why risk injury and extra wear and tear when you can sit 10 games and still accrue another season toward free agency?

If you're not Elliott, who's already got a suspension history on top of a history of off-field distractions that invite another suspension. But he is. So now he's an incredibly talented player at a position teams rarely overpay whose nearest market comp (Gurley) is on what's widely considered to be a terrible contract. He's a suspension away from a lifetime ban from the league (depending on the offense), and he's going to pull a move that makes him look like a selfish teammate for a club that actually has a chance to contend? How many teams are going to sign up for that to a tune that's sweeter than what Dallas has already put on the table? I don't think many would.

Absolutely and I don’t say this with pride but it seems a lot of people are starting to agree with me Corso. Zeke’s true colors are starting to show. Some people will continue to make excuses for him and others will start to see him for who he really is.

Im not questioning that Zeke has a boat load of off the field issues. Im saying he is a beast when on the field.

The Fan reported that Jerry was completed caught off guard by the Zeke holdout and is severely ticked off.

They pointed to the amount of support the team had given settle in numerous off-field issues, including perhaps some we don't know about.

This could get pretty ugly.

Good, he should be upset after all of the support he gave him with all of the suspension noise.

Would you feel better if Elliot finished second in the league in rushing. Would that present a greater opportunity to win a championship ?
Not at all, I think total rushing yards, especially when it happens to coincide with the most carries, is one of the most worthless stats. There are way too many other factors to consider. If anything, people should be more concerned with how many carries Zeke has, not brag about it. Father Time is undefeated.

Eventually Zeke will get injured or won’t be able to handle the load. Is that a risk you really want to take and money the team should really pay for a position that has been proven to be easily replaceable?

He is at that but I also think a lot of his production has been over exaggerated by several factors, especially the teams he’s been surrounded by. Send Zeke to Miami, give him the ball more times than any other RB and see if he leads the league in rushing. I’d put my mortgage on him not leading the league at the end of the season. He had the same benefit in college. The guy has had a silver spoon in his mouth since day 1.

Well, then Jerry's idiot son should've kept his mouth shut.

This is why we’ve been a poorly ran FO for so long because we’re more concerned with keeping our franchise front and center publicly than restraining ourselves from public humility. What other franchise FO embarrass itself in such manner publicly with their every thought?

They stacked the box and basically knew where the ball was going. And our O line got whooped.

One game vs the last 3 seasons is not making any points.
Guy lead the league last year in rushing behind a decent at best Oline. Zeke is the most complete back in the league. Hopefully our Oline returns to dominance. Then he would be a little more expendable. But no average to good RB would have lead the league in rushing yards last year behind our beat up O line.
Ohhhhhhhh....so the O line does have something to do with his production? Huh.

So what happened in the Houston game last year? (for the record, this is the second game now).

True, very true but again, how many times has a leading rusher won the Super Bowl? Zeke is luxury, not a necessity.

IMOF, Zeke is more of a headache than anything. You know who should endorse Zeke? Advil. They could promote a supersized, double dose, pill that signifies the size of his HUGE head and the size of the HUGE headaches he creates for his team and fans.
Most teams that win the Super Bowl either have an elite quarterback or an elite defense which one of those do we have?

I couldn’t give a crap if he leads the league in rushing.

More importantly I believe we’re a run dependent offense and most importantly without a prolific passing QB reliant on an Elite RB to keep defenses honest.

We have an elite running back who is a headcase, an average QB, and an average defense.

Yikes.

And yet he wants to even more after what they've done for him. Honestly I don't know if he can get his off-field issues under control he has a problem

I said that as soon as I heard the speculation., although I hoped that wasnt the case. This is a bit of a low blow from Zeke. Although lets not pretend our front office hasn't always acted in their own self interest regarding Zeke.

How was that philosophy going last year before we traded for Cooper?....Hint...EPIC FAIL....

His leverage is this team relies on him. Not dak. It relies on Zeke. It goes through Zeke. The team is built for him.

Dallas owns his rights for four more years if they choose. They can force him to sit without pay until 2023.

It's too bad Jerry and Son are so eager to talk to media they can't abide by this sound advice. They announce to the world that Gurley money is where "it starts" with Zeke then they're shocked when he holds out 6 months later. Idiots.
