2004. No Tom Brady. Proof is already in the pudding pal. Time to think forward.
We have a vet team that they won’t be disassembling.

If they’re willing to get rid of Dak then I’m all for a young coach.

If you’re keeping Dak then you gotta bring in Belichick. Simple as that.

There's NO WAY they can keep Dak at this point. 8 years. It's over. Time to turn the page.

Meanwhile, the resident Homers are biting their tear-soaked pillows while the rest of us realistic, non delusional fans try to figure how this team can ever get back on track
How?

Fire the GM
Stop the country club atmosphere
Demand.accountability

None of which is going to happen under Jerry.
Despite all of that, we are the #1 most valued franchise in all of sports

This QB class is stacked. There will be a good prospect in striking range for the Cowboys
Move on, find a guy. Flacco was Dak. Who cares. Don't pay that ridiculous salary, pay some defensive guys. Get a real Ravens style D in here. Find out who wants to play the next year or so and draft QB's and the OL. Hire a young coach with new ideas. Time to go forward and stop living in the past.

I have 0 faith in the Jones’s to do that.

Getting rid of Dak opens up a lot of cap flexibility but I fully expect them to pay Dak like he just won the Super Bowl.

You'd best get over that hate in a hurry. No way Jerry gets rid of McCarthy or Dak.

Why is McCarthy scapegoat when Dan Quinn obviously let the entire franchise down tonight with his fraudulent defense.

No way am I putting this all on Mike
Both got to go, no secret Dan is leaving anyway but Mike has got to go as well.

The Jones family have always showed McCarthy support -- albeit with the occasional cryptic message from Jerry Jones sprinkled in now and then -- but there's no way they aren't raging with anger after watching that.

There are bigger problems facing the organization than McCarthy, but a leadership change is needed after arguably the most embarrassing playoff loss in franchise history. It's like they were trying to be a disaster.

Belichick might not be everyone's cup of tea, but good luck thinking of anyone better to lead this current core. This franchise is in need of saving and Belichick's cape is bigger than any available head coach.

Would Jerry’s ego allow him to hire a coach that Kraft fired ? We know Jerry hates Kraft ,

Thinking Jerry Jones is mad like we are as fans means you don’t understand Jerry Jones. I doubt if he feels embarrassed or even strongly considering making BIG changes.

Look- I don’t know how many times it will take fans here to understand that Jerry Jones does not think like a fan. He thinks like a guy who wants first and foremost to play with his toy every day any way he sees fit. And he will always look for a head coach - first and foremost - to make him feel comfortable doing what he wants to do.

Every fan who thinks “Jerry is mad” and is going to fire McCarthy doesn’t realize that’s not what he’s thinking tonight. He’s wondering if he can still keep Big Mac around for his comfort while hoping fans will forget by July that this even happened.

I expect come July we will have an 81 year old Jerry Jones smiling broadly at his “State of the Cowboys“ address in “Ox-nerd” telling us his high expectations and why we should all buy sand from him again in this desert called “the last 28 years.”

And the fans will come back in droves.
Well said Hazey. The old carnival barker will start up again in July, dressed up in his head coach uniform w ball cap. Since his head coaches have little power, they are just Jerry’s puppets on a string, he should do what Dallas Sports radio personality Craig Miller recommended years ago: Just put a whistle around your neck, stand on the sidelines, and BE the head coach since you’re already assuming the duties of a hc”. Miller further added that Jerry won’t do it because his hc is always the scapegoat for Jerry’s failures.

A culture exorcism is required.

Not sure a 72 year old Belichek is the guy

Get me Jim Harbaugh
I want Harbaugh, but only if Jerry agrees to let him do things his way. Harbaugh will be out for revenge against the 49ers. Bellichick's going to spend several months next season on the Queen Mary 2 World Cruise drinking margaritas and enjoying life.
