Anyone who thinks he built this team doesn't understand how the Cowboys organization is run. Never said he deserves another year or even game for that matter, but he is in no way the only reason this team is 6-6.

Its his offensive system. He's the one who does the game planning. He's the one that refuses to adapt in-game when something isn't working. Do you not remember the Chaz Green fiasco? That was ALL Garret. Thats just how he runs this team. He does not believe in the simple concept of adapting in-game. He's got more talent than the coach he lost to yesterday. Plenty of talent on this roster being misused.

All fine and dandy. We aren't 6-6 solely because of the head coach.

The fact that the 2016 team went 13-3 still amazes me and, honestly, is more a reflection of "catching lightening in a bottle" than it was coaching genius.

The reality in the NFL today is it’s about catching lightening in a bottle. Cases in point are the Ravens, Carolina, Atlanta, Eagles and the Rams. The Patriots are this era’s outlier.

Own & GM the team. The public display to the media doesn't help the team and definitely do not help the coaches specifically JG.

JG was one of the best young minds sought after by many many teams before OC of the Cowboys. Played under some great coaching minds and coached under living legends. Thats one of the reasons that JG was always able to rally teams mid season and why players never seemed to quit on him. Some how some way JJ has stripped Jason of all of that experience and literally made JG a shell of himself this year.

This is the same coach that took a rookie QB to a 13-3 record after losing his MVP caliber QB a couple of weeks before the season started. This is the same coach that dealt with a looming and then eventual 6 game suspension of the teams best player and still had a winning season. This the same coach that started a season 3-5 and led a team to a playoff birth and a victory over a well coached team and a MVP level QB.

What happened Thanksgiving 2019 is we saw JG get outside of himself....he didn't have confidence....he made coaching decisions that didn't make sense even when they worked. Jerry did this by making a circus after a 4 point lost to the greatest coach that ever lived. For the first time you could clearly tell that it affected JG; it is not an assumption it was obvious. So obvious that the players, the leaders on the team had to see it as well. Other GMs saw it to and while other teams may not have a Jerry Jones they have a media. If JG doesn't shock the world and turn this season around he may never be a head coach in the NFL again and he can thank Jerry for that.

Jason? Is that you clap daddy?

How many excuses does this guy get? Was Jerry telling him not to use timeouts intelligently? Was Jerry telling him to not speak to the offensive coordinator about what the we're doing (3 or 4 downs)? Or to not speak to the special teams coach? Or hell, to go for it on 4th and inches on your on 19 early in the game? WTH clown show is that? Or the basketball buddy club? Or in over 10 years never accepting responsiblity for anything.

The best thing he did was his whole RKG thing...because team captain types will never give up...seriously what's going to cause Travis Frederick, Tyron Smith, Dak, Witten, Lee, Jones, etc...to give up? I could be their coach and they wouldn't give up...

Lots of draft picks have lots of potential, then you have to actually prove it. He's had a historic amount of chances. The biggest negative the Jones' do is stupid things like holding press conferences from the locker room.

I'll say this - he's the best politician I've seen as a coach, he's elite at that.

On the money side of things, everything Jerry touches turns to gold. On the football side of things, everything Jerry touches dies.

If he just accepted that he’s no good at being a GM and let a really good football man hire a really good HC and stay out of it, we would be able to compete immediately.

But he’s a stubborn idiot.

Poor little garrett. LOL

Jerry kept him on for yet ANOTHER year when he should have been fired, and gave him one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. Signed Garretts hand picked work horse in Zeke and had him in here for the first game of the season.

No excuses for Clappy the Clown.

To be honest it was the most aggressively coached game of Jason G's career. JJ got his message across, the players did not perform. Dak and Maher to name a few. BTW I hope he's fired next week after the blowout in Soldier

Garrett has been making stupid coaching decisions for 14 years here in Dallas.

Going for it that early in the game at his own 20 yard line was probably the dumbest decision I have EVER seen.

And who did Garrett trust to get the first down with his career on the line on 4th and 1?

A hint.....………...it wasn't Zeke.
