Doesn't matter. You can be excluded from a will. Leaving $1 proves you were not overlooked. Honestly i would wager Jerry actually owns very little. It's probably tied up in trusts and other devices to nullify any financial impacts.

But the reality is she probably screwed herself. Making him claim her as a child means he can directly disinherit her in his will. If she would have left it alone he probably wouldn't have said anything. Then she could argue that she was overlooked and have a decent chance of winning
