this is forgetting that Twill doesn't get the same amount of Targets as a #1 and Dez is targeted whether hes open or not and a lot of times targets hes credited for are not even near catchable, basically throw-aways..

If Twill, Bulter and others were targeted the same as Dez was and you take their current mistakes, drops, fumbles etc and adjust them out to Dez like Tragets, YES THEY DO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES AND FOR 2017 THEY "ALL" HAD DOWN YEARS.. Period end of story..so tired of these dez threads..hes being picked on and singles out when the ENTIRE WR/TE units had off years all made mistakes.. twill had the pick six off his hands and drops in the endzone etc and did he even score a TD? you give him the same targets as a 1 and you wil see he also will be exposed.. no one was getting open fast enough and when they did they all had issues with drops and deflections etc it was simply bad year and Dez being a 1 , making big money, and very animated asking for the ball etc is getting him way way to much criticism..leave it be already..sure he had a bad year with drops etc but it was team thing not a Dez thing..

i'm so FN tired of seeing every other thread have Dez name in it.. let this dang thing play out..jeez

Twill has a much lower drop % than Dez over their careers. It's not even close.

not true..hes thrown to less thats my point he would have way more opportunity's to drop passes if he was a 1..period ive seen the guy Twill is a 2 will always be a 2 and his numbers are so far from DEz league , comparisons are insane..Twill will be easily forgotten.. theres lessor guys like Miles Austin, Jimmy Smith Alvin Harper etc all will be remembered here..Twill will be long forgotten, hes done nothing here AT ALL..when dez went out with injury Twill choked when the lights came on, be real bro.. Dez already owns cowboys records and was paid for the 4 years where he was a top 3 WR in this league and he sits high up in Cowboys lore..lets be real he got paid hes had some issues but he got paid for reason.. He was Great and the hate is ridiculous..hell Antonio Bryant if he could have kept his witts was better WR than Twill.. Remember Laurent Robinson, how about willy jackson LOL i know romo made him great but he got paid pretty well..Twill SMH .

i like Terrance bro but its insane on the comparisons to dez and the hate dez is getting after what hes done here..Twill can only wish he was Dez..Butler says he should be a 1 when the lights come on he cant even get in the zip code dez has..I for sure hope dez will take some kind of pay cut to help the team and we can keep him another season but either way..Dez earned more respect..

I'm not saying Twill is a #1. Read the context of the conversation. I said he is a quality player that doesn't make a lot of mistakes and he would find another job. For whatever reason, quality players that aren't superstars are undervalued. TWill is treated as though he is hot garbage and he's not. Here are the career numbers for Dez and Twill:

Please note I'm not even saying Twill is better than Dez.

Dez
531 receptions
915 targets (58% catch rate)
36 drops (6.3% drop rate)
8 fumbles (1.5% fumble rate) -- this is only fumbles as a receiver...not his fumbles as a punt returner

TWill
230 receptions
371 targets (61.9% catch rate)
11 drops ( 4.5% drop rate)
2 fumbles (0.08% fumble rate)

If he is thrown to more often, he will drop more passes but he will do it at a lower % than Dez.

Ideally, Dez agrees to cut pay and stays. I still think he can prove he is better than he has been.

i think they need to redo the contract with incentives. Dez deserves a chance to make his money back if he agrees to a paycut. those of you saying he needs to be paid 6-8 million, what if he goes 1200, 10tds this year?

Yeh a guy that has lower stats than dak across the board and couldn't even ball with Calvin Johnson catching the ball.

Cowherd put up a direct comparison with Dak and stafford lol.
