I am pretty sure my fandom in the Cowboys might be forever shaken if they hand Prescott a big contract while he continues to play like this.

 

Oh joy---I think I have heard this about Quincy, Hutchinson, Henson, and now Dak. They need to get a real coach in here and hope they stumble on another Romo. This coming from the team who wanted Lynch and Cook.

 

I'm actually glad that he didn't say yes and whoever thought that Watkins was worth that amount was crazy to begin with. He played for the Rams last year and caught 39 passes for 539 yards, so far this year (5 games) he's caught 20 passes for 254 yards and 1 td. For 16 million? And he's playing with Mahomes just think of how low his numbers would be with Dak?

 

Yeah, "we're like the Rams offense" last week, and now this.

Someone needs a visit to the doctor.

 

i'm all for paying Prescott what he deserves. we can use the savings on other players.

 

At least we had Touchdowns to cheer about. This is torture watching this bum.

Jerry has the eye for QB talent like Matt Millen did for wide receivers.

 

I am glad Sammy saved the Cowboys from that horrible contract.

The same way Nerlens Noel saved the Mavericks from the ridiculous contract Cuban offered Nerlens as well.

Hopefully, if Dak's numbers continue to be like they have been this year, Dallas will at least have him play out his rookie contract before offering him a new deal. I don't know if one more season with him at QB will open the front office's eyes, but we don't need to get tied up financially by him when he's certainly not playing like a franchise QB.

Right now, Prescott's career is reminding me a lot of Robert Griffin III's. Great start, regression, more regression and then release.

Of course, with RGIII, injuries and Kirk Cousins sped up the process of figuring out that Griffin's rookie season was a fluke. He was the beneficiary of the right circumstances, just like Prescott was.

Tried to convince us we'll be fine with a group of #3 and #4 WR's.

Now trying to convince us Dak is a good QB we can build around.

Theres a reason we've sucked most of the last 20 years and only have a couple of wildcard wins to show for it. Thanks Jerry.

the point was more that he thought reid a better coach than garrett and mahomes a better qb than dak. seems Sammy's in the same position as last year. he's on a team laden with talent on the offensive side of the ball. until we change our oc and hc, we're screwed.

 

We could only wish this was Romo all over again.

 

AWW yest the great JM...how could I forget him! Just think how bad this organization would have been if they didn't stumble on Romo. Bledsoe and Kitna would still be out there slinging the rock!

 

There is an argument to be made that Dak is a bottom 3 starting QB this year.
