Jerry's drunken interview

[dcfanatic]

No. The star is the logo, Bennett used actual Cowboys crap in the video, which is what got him in trouble.

Had Bennett just yapped his mouth with no Cowboys apparel present, he'd have been fine.

He owns the team. The logo. The helmet. The Stadium. The urinals.

Stop now while you are losing.

[CanadianCowboysFan]

Or this...

nicely done Jerry, good work if you can get it

[Vintage]

Or this...

LOL, is that what is in his shirt pocket?

jerry is not raping anybody *cough* rothlis..*cough*

everybody who is mad needs to realize that jerry jones is human

he was drinking it up having a good time.

I do realize that ..... but Jerry should face the same consequences that a player who embarrasses his team would.

He is technically a NFL employee as GM.

[theebs]

I just watched that again, Man I can not tell if he is speaking matter of factly or just goofing with those guys about parcells. the second time through it comes out very quickly and very matter of factly.

man it sucks that this is out there. Very dissapointing.

Yes. JERRY owns them.

Bennett does not. Meaning, Bennett cannot use them in any way, shape, or form as he pleases.

[Chief]

Florio is all over it now. Their PFT blurb showed up on Facebook.

[zrinkill]

That is a photoshop guys.

[7footer]

Yeah, this was unfortunate...

I hope he doesn't catch too much flack for this though...It's not like anything he said wasn't true. He just let his guard down at the wrong time and forgot to check for cell phone cameras.

[utrunner07]

HAHA Further proof when it comes to some things Jerry Jones is an unrespectable MORON!!!! Suprised he did not go off on Wade in that segment, that would have been really fun.

I think it's funny.

Glad the dude can get out and let some steam off.

The pressures of being in a position that he is in deserves some fun time.

But, let's not consider where the Cowboys are...because JJ got a little wasted at a bar...with some Viagra, and a hot chick, and a cell phone TMZ junkie.

:laugh2:

he was drinking it up having a good time.

Drunk in a public place, saying derogatory things about HOF coach, whose clipboard Jones isn't worthy to carry, using profanity, laughing about how he manipulated people into building him a stadium.

It's a disgrace and an embarrassment, and pretty much fulfills every negative stereotype anyone ever thought about him. I'm embarrassed he's the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, and feel sorry for those of you laughing and acting as though this is no big deal.

Someone please post videos of the numerous other NFL owners caught in the same circumstances.....oh that's right, you can't.

its no big deal and you can feel sorry for me all you want :laugh2:

[Hostile]

One thing kind of funny to me is how some posters have reversed roles. I don't just mean zrinkill as a Jerry defender either. Some posters who are pretty harsh about everything Jerry does are saying this is no big deal.

It reminds me most of all that we are all human and have different barometers of what we consider right or wrong. I think that's good. If we all had exactly the same reaction to this it would mean we are a soulless mass.

I hate this. I can't excuse it in any way. I probably feel this way for completely different reasons than anyone else here will.

Too many times in my life someone has been under the influence of alcohol and said something to me that was offensive. Only to come back a day or two later and apologize and say it was only the alcohol talking. If alcohol talks for you then you have a serious problem. You're basically telling me it can change who you are and what you really think.

In other words, if Jerry down the road makes an apology for this to Bill Parcells, or to the public, and he says that is not how he feels and it was just the alcohol talking I am only going to be thinking one thing. He needs to never drink again.

I am serious. If you drink and while drinking you call your wife a *****, then later when sober you apologize and say it was just the alcohol, then you shouldn't drink. If alcohol can control your mind, body, and tongue over your own powers of self restraint then it isn't your friend.

The only possible good I can see coming from this video is if Jerry Jones is embarrassed and turns over a new leaf and stops drinking.

Yes, some of what he said is kind of funny. That doesn't excuse it. It doesn't even come close to excusing it. He still let the organization down to go this far. He has said he holds himself to the same standards that he does coaches, players, and staff. I hope he meant it.

At times I defend Jerry from what I think are ridiculous assertions by some fans. There's no defending this in my book. Just like I wouldn't defend him when he said "any of 500 guys could have won with that team" I won't defend this. Trade for Roy Williams; I'll defend it as a guy trying to get the final piece of the puzzle to win it all. Hanging onto Wade Phillips while 5 former Super Bowl winning coaches were available; I'll defend it as Wade earned more time. And I'm not even really a Wade fan.

I can't defend this. I won't defend this. I see nothing good about it.

If he was at his home, throwing a dinner party, and said this to me and a group of party guests, I'd find it funny. I think many of us would. In a public place, in the video age, and at that level of intoxication...naw, that's across the line of what I will defend.

embarrassment to who? the only person he could have embarrassed his himself, doesn't have an effect on the rest of us at all
