It reminds me most of all that we are all human and have different barometers of what we consider right or wrong. I think that's good. If we all had exactly the same reaction to this it would mean we are a soulless mass.

I love this statement!

Jerry Drunk...

He is at a bar. What did you expect?

Oh, I dunno. Common sense. An awareness of your surroundings. Having a few drinks but not getting absolutely plastered. Et cetera. I'd expect this kind of knuckleheaded behavior from Bennett, not the team owner--who's supposed to know better.

everybody acts like a moron at a bar

:laugh1:

Maybe everyone YOU know acts like a moron at a bar, but I know many people that can go to a bar, have a good time, and not act like a moron.

I just watched that again, Man I can not tell if he is speaking matter of factly or just goofing with those guys about parcells. the second time through it comes out very quickly and very matter of factly.

man it sucks that this is out there. Very dissapointing.

Think Jimmy Johnson.

Think about how he immediately followed up the line with...

'But I love him'.

It's obvious.

Jerry Jerry Jerry....

Dropping the F bomb...saying that the only reason he hired Parcells was because everyone was on his butt (not the word he used) saying he needed a "yes" man as a coach....great reason to hire a coach.

Jerry Jerry Jerry....

I think this is just a rare opportunity to know what Jerry really thinks about Romo, Parcells, about Tebow, and about how he manipulates his surroundings to get his stadium.

We won't see another clear look like this from him for a long time, probably ever.

When you do not know what you are doing or saying, yet are still responsible for your actions, that is a scary place to be.

Some damage will come from this, we'll see how much it affects things as they are now. Which currently, looks pretty good.

Hopefully he will check himself into rehab and hand the reins over to Stephen for a couple weeks. That should be all the time he needs to bring in Gaither, Atogwe and Ginn while moving up in the draft.

One thing kind of funny to me is how some posters have reversed roles. I don't just mean zrinkill as a Jerry defender either. Some posters who are pretty harsh about everything Jerry does are saying this is no big deal.

It reminds me most of all that we are all human and have different barometers of what we consider right or wrong. I think that's good. If we all had exactly the same reaction to this it would mean we are a soulless mass.

I hate this. I can't excuse it in any way. I probably feel this way for completely different reasons than anyone else here will.

Too many times in my life someone has been under the influence of alcohol and said something to me that was offensive. Only to come back a day or two later and apologize and say it was only the alcohol talking. If alcohol talks for you then you have a serious problem. You're basically telling me it can change who you are and what you really think.

In other words, if Jerry down the road makes an apology for this to Bill Parcells, or to the public, and he says that is not how he feels and it was just the alcohol talking I am only going to be thinking one thing. He needs to never drink again.

I am serious. If you drink and while drinking you call your wife a *****, then later when sober you apologize and say it was just the alcohol, then you shouldn't drink. If alcohol can control your mind, body, and tongue over your own powers of self restraint then it isn't your friend.

The only possible good I can see coming from this video is if Jerry Jones is embarrassed and turns over a new leaf and stops drinking.

Yes, some of what he said is kind of funny. That doesn't excuse it. It doesn't even come close to excusing it. He still let the organization down to go this far. He has said he holds himself to the same standards that he does coaches, players, and staff. I hope he meant it.

At times I defend Jerry from what I think are ridiculous assertions by some fans. There's no defending this in my book. Just like I wouldn't defend him when he said "any of 500 guys could have won with that team" I won't defend this. Trade for Roy Williams; I'll defend it as a guy trying to get the final piece of the puzzle to win it all. Hanging onto Wade Phillips while 5 former Super Bowl winning coaches were available; I'll defend it as Wade earned more time. And I'm not even really a Wade fan.

I can't defend this. I won't defend this. I see nothing good about it.

If he was at his home, throwing a dinner party, and said this to me and a group of party guests, I'd find it funny. I think many of us would. In a public place, in the video age, and at that level of intoxication...naw, that's across the line of what I will defend.

It's his ego that allows him to do this.

Power.

He has it all.

Hey...good thinking...I'm always looking for lyrics...given Jerry's language, it would have to be a rap song. :)

I was always worried that this is the real Jerry Jones. The only consolation is that Stephen is taking more and more control over the team.

Jerry, if you're going to drink like this, you may as well give the rest of the team to your sons. You sure aren't worthy of running it like that.

He made himself look foolish. He is this franchise. Therefor he made this franchise look foolish.

Yea we get it, ppl get drunk at bars and say dumb things.
Normal, regular joes who no one cares about what they say.

Find video of another billionaire showing off drunk to 20 year olds dudes.

Don't get me wrong its not the end of the world. But he knows better.

Im sure Stephen isn't too proud, although i could be wrong but i dont think i am. I'll side with what i believe Stephen's opinion would be over other peoples on this forum.

Ben R. shouldnt be hanging out with skanks in college bars, and Jerry shouldnt be showing off for college dudes in a bar either. They'll get ya in trouble.

That`s cheap, imagine if somebody filmed you with a hidden camera while you were drunk, that`s a low blow. I understand that he as an owner has to be more careful and responsible but still, he is human and probably was talking to a fan in a bar just like you or me and some coward decided to film it and post it on youtube, low blow, and hey he was telling the truth, we`ve got ROMO. :laugh1:
