The dude was trying to outrun the cops at 143 mph while running red lights with a child in the car.

That doesn't bother your moral sensibilities?

Was it wrong? Sure.

Enough to disqualify him as a member of the Cowboys? Nope. It's also the only mistake he's ever made off the field to my knowledge.

I'd have a bigger issue if Richardson was clean off the field but a pain in the butt in the locker room.

To a lot of posters on this board, it wouldn't matter if he was driving 180mph and had just raped the child in the car and had fired at the cops.
If he can play DL he must be a solid citizen, right?

This board accepted Greg Hardy and still wanted him this summer.

I supposed the rotting corpse of Adolph Hitler would pass muster if he could stop the run.

He's more of a 3 tech DT anyway. Ty Crawford played really well at the strong side end. Tank did well also just didn't show up on the stats.

Yeah, I was surprised to see this tidbit on Crawford from Sullivan this week. And this was *before* his game on Sunday:
  • Tyrone Crawford has quietly been lurking this season, as in playing better than 99.9 percent of the fan base realize. Entering the game, he was tied for second among defensive linemen in quarterback hurries. Not on the team. We’re talking in the league. Most coaches will tell you that hurries are a more valuable statistic than sacks. One is flukier than the other; they will take the consistent pressure. Well, never mind that, Crawford enjoyed a career day and then some: five QB hurries, three QB hits, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Likely NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
I can't verify if that number's right, but if it is, it's shocking. I know a lot of our fans here like to exaggerate the size of Crawford's contract a bit, but it's eye-popping to me that he could be getting credited with that much pressure this year. I'd been looking for him, and had been pretty disappointed with his performance this season, honestly.

Yeah, that's it.

LOL.

The guy has one off the field issue where he showed poor judgment and you guys act like he's some hardened criminal that would destroy what the Cowboys have going on. Further, there are no indications that he's a locker room issue, which would be the bigger aspect of team chemistry.

If anyone sounds silly in this thread, it's those acting like Richardson is some big bad dude.

Wonder if the rumors are legit and have an actual chance of being executed? Team chemistry is really important right now so any new additions have to gel quickly and learn the defense.

From your lips to God's ears. There is a criminal lot that haunts this board.

Nah not at all. It wasn't a baby it was a 12yr old who probably was excited about it. It was wrong but acting like dude some type of bad guy I wouldn't take a chance on please.

Not sure why my opinion hurts you so much, but that's cool.

Fleeing from the cops at 143mph with a 12 year old kid, loaded handgun, and drugs in the car is enough for me to not want him on the team.

If you don't feel the same way, then by all means, don't feel the same way.
Not sure why you are so insecure either but cool. How can me just replying to your post hurt me? You sound real insecure where you need everybody to agree with you and if not they are hurt, hating, whatever other tired troupe words you want to use. No crap I feel the way I do same as you. I just was making fun of some of y'all's soft moralities. You can do the same to me I promise I will not think you're "hurt" though.

Why do people keep saying this?

His one issue with the league was for street racing where he was caught with a gun in the car and smelling like pot with the other passengers. He was eventually charged with reckless driving and resisting arrest.

Hardly the stuff that would disqualify him.

I think the issue with Richardson isn't that he isn't a RKG. He's likely a DT, something we don't necessarily need.

Street racing?! Thats a RKG in my book...sign him up!

And I'm dead serious...racing ftw

Well based on some posters here, the Cowboys should never sign a FA who has been arrested off the field, regardless of how serious the crime is. They should also not draft any players who have any off the field issues, regardless of the history or trend or significance of the off the field issues.
