1.5 sks and 3 tackles for the game and for the season he's one of the leaders in pressures league wide according to reports.

I'd have to see those "reports". And keep in mind that his big game came against a rookie right tackle making his 3rd career start. 3.5 sacks for the year in 7 games is a far cry from earning your paycheck. We're finding out that Crawford is the 3-4 defensive end we originally drafted him to be. Not big enough for 4-3 DT, not fast or flexible enough for 4-3 DE.

But being paid like one of the top defensive linemen in the league.

And LOL at mentioning Greg Hardy in this thread as an analogy to Sheldon Richardson.

Well based on some posters here, the Cowboys should never sign a FA who has been arrested off the field, regardless of how serious the crime is. They should also not draft any players who have any off the field issues, regardless of the history or trend or significance of the off the field issues.

That would include Dak (dui).

Firearm was legally owned. So that's not a disqualifier, especially in Texas.

He was charged with resisting arrest for driving away from a cop and reckless driving. He was not charged with any drug crimes, nor did he fail any drug tests so your Gregory comment is wrong. This might stun you, but there are players on the current team who smoke pot but are smart enough to work around drug tests, etc.

Hardly reasons to not look at a guy. And he apparently is considered a pretty good teammate.

He has talent no doubt but I don't want another druggie on our team

To a lot of posters on this board, it wouldn't matter if he was driving 180mph and had just raped the child in the car and had fired at the cops.
If he can play DL he must be a solid citizen, right?
Always wondered why people have to exaggerate so much if they feel they are being truthful? You don't even believe that silly stuff you just posted.

Not sure why you are so insecure either but cool. How can me just replying to your post hurt me? You sound real insecure where you need everybody to agree with you and if not they are hurt, hating, whatever other tired troupe words you want to use. No crap I feel the way I do same as you. I just was making fun of some of y'all's soft moralities. You can do the same to me I promise I will not think you're "hurt" though.

I'm very hurt by what you just said to me!! All good, man. If they bring him in, great! Especially if he clogs up running lanes.

I want this team to succeed at any cost. But I'd rather them learn from getting burned by quite a few of their questionable signings in the past. If he becomes a Cowboy, I hope he tears it up and I couldn't care less about his past as long as he doesn't become a headache here. But unfortunately, our history shows that it doesn't usually work out that well.

Check Idgit's post. How many sacks do you think Richardson has? It's 1.5 for the season. Cameron Wake has 3 for the season.

Its cool here too man. Regarding bold you have to treat each case individually. How you are talking in bold is similar to if you dated a coupe of girls and it didn't work out now you want to start dating men cause of getting burnt. For the vast majority we know that isn't happening and I look at this and most things (its always and exception) the same way.

He's also one flunked drug test away from a 10 game suspension.

If you look at the Jets boards, many fans are expecting a 2017 2nd or 3rd round pick for Richardson. What a delusional fanbase

I wouldn't give up that much for him. Frankly, he's not that big a need if he's strictly a 3 tech.

Yeah, I was surprised to see this tidbit on Crawford from Sullivan this week. And this was *before* his game on Sunday:
  • Tyrone Crawford has quietly been lurking this season, as in playing better than 99.9 percent of the fan base realize. Entering the game, he was tied for second among defensive linemen in quarterback hurries. Not on the team. We’re talking in the league. Most coaches will tell you that hurries are a more valuable statistic than sacks. One is flukier than the other; they will take the consistent pressure. Well, never mind that, Crawford enjoyed a career day and then some: five QB hurries, three QB hits, 1.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Likely NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
I can't verify if that number's right, but if it is, it's shocking. I know a lot of our fans here like to exaggerate the size of Crawford's contract a bit, but it's eye-popping to me that he could be getting credited with that much pressure this year. I'd been looking for him, and had been pretty disappointed with his performance this season, honestly.

I'm right there with you. I have to check on Sullivan's claims.

I imagine the Cowboys wouldn't mind trading McFadden, Hanna, and Dunbar. I wonder what those 3 could get as a package? Probably not anywhere near enough for Richardson. But, hey, I would offer all three for Richardson and see. I would throw in DL Tyrone Crawford to sweeten the pot :)

I imagine teams are interested in OL Collins, Leary especially, CB Anthony Brown, S Kavon Frazier (is he still on the roster?), and DL McClain. I wouldn't consider trading Collins, Leary, Brown, or DT McClain.

I did some checking and I have to say I'm surprised. Crawford is actually in the top 20 in hurries. Not as high as Sullivan claimed, but much higher than I had expected all the same.

http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/defensive-hurries/2016/

That's the one site I'd found, too, but I wasn't sure how reliable a source it was. They still have him playing DT, for example.

But if it is accurate, it's worth noting that 11 of the 18 players tied with or ahead of him have also played 8 games to his 7.

Imagine if the Jets asked for Romo because their QB situation sucks so bad?
