As I've noted the Skins have been as good as, if not better than, Dallas since taking over (2 fewer regular season wins but 1 playoff win to our none) -- add in what he's done for the value of the team and it is hard to argue that he hasn't produced some positive results.

Actually their one playoff win to our none is really your only argument for positivity. The begin of Snyders reign coincided with our being in the basement of salary cap hell with a roster full of old players and players drafted to be backups, as crazy as that sounds. So record-wise it could be argued he got a head start.

We have worked our way through that and have gradually added an infusion of young sustaining talent on both sides of the ball. The Commanders have possibly 3-4 "young" players to build on, a roster comprised mostly of free agent, miscast, and overrated players, and a general organizational direction that only during the Gibbs II years had any modicum of stability. Yet, they still performed, by and large, in the realm of medocrity. Despite yearly gargantuan free agent expenditures.

As for franchise value - very simple. New stadium.

Snyder didn't build FedEx field. Cooke built it, and named it Jack Kent Cooke stadium.

Who built it really doesn't matter. Without question it produced a huge uptick in the value of the franchise.

To me, this is what promoting Zorn means. We just want a guy to call the head coach since we know that the Skins will not fare well next year and then we can fire that guy to bring in Cowher.

I can't think of one more reason as to why he did not hire Fassel and picked this guy other than Zorn being much easier to fire after one or maybe two years.

The fact that our present owner drove the team into the ground is relevant how?

The same realm of mediocrity that Dallas has performed in over the same period -- yet Jerry is the "best owner in football"

Value is value. Wasn't there before, is now.

Discount it all you want but Snyder has accomplish a bunch and has fielded competitive teams since arriving. He may never be seen as the best owner in the league but the idea that he's an idiot is totally overplayed.

Yeah, Snyder has done a fantastic job of managing the Skins salary cap and stockpiling the team with aging, unwanted veterans. That's why the team is in such great shape now!

People say that every year -- but somehow they've stayed as competitive as Dallas over Synder's tenure.

No, they haven't. If you refuse to see that, it isn't my problem.

I'm curious!!! Are you really a Foreskin fan? You seem to really go out of your way to support, defend, and come to their rescue. Just wondering!!!!

The stadium opened in 1997 -- two years before Snyder bought the team - Snyder is the one who TURNED the stadium into a real profit generator.

Again, you can say the guy is an idiot and believe everything he does is idiotic -- or you can recognize that he's been pretty successful as the owner of the Commanders.

No, I am an NFL fan and I don't just swallow the idiotic tripe handed to me by sports radio.

Also, i like facts. Facts like the Commanders have been just as good on the field as we have since Snyder took over.

Successful owner and businessman, but not successful running the franchise.

But that's the Commanders' fan base problem, not mine. :D

He's made some good business decisions off the field, but more dumb ones on it.

I'll go with idiotic.

Thanks.

The midget has been extremely successful as the owner from a marketing and making money standpoint. As far as winning, well, he's won nothing. Ask Foreskin fans, they'll tell you. It's all about these:lombardi: . Under his watch, they have NONE.....

So, the Commanders haven't been as competitive as Dallas over that period? Facts show otherwise.

Commanders record since Synder 68 - 76. Playoffs 2-3.

Dallas record over the same period 70-74. Playoffs 0-4.

So what? That was then, this is now. Which team is more set for future success...(hint...it ain't the mighty Commanders).
