The fact that our present owner drove the team into the ground is relevant how?
The fact that I said that we were run into the ground and have clearly rebounded and are continuing in a positive direction. The same cannot be said for the Skins.
The same realm of mediocrity that Dallas has performed in over the same period -- yet Jerry is the "best owner in football"
Well, I guess maybe a little of your agenda is peeking here, because I said nothing about Jerry being the best owner in football. You're arguing, at least initially, that as the owner, Snyder's football moves, at the very least, are not "idiotic."
Again as I pointed out in my post, we were in hell and are on the rebound. You make so much of the records and I point out factors which you choose to ignore. However, just like stats, arguments can be made based on what you want to present.
For instance, what does it say that in the last 5 years, the skins produced two 5-11 years 2 years apart, and 3 out of 5 losing seasons? In the same period, the Boys have had one losing season. And 3 consecutive winning seasons. Clearly one organization appears in disarray and it all starts at the top.
Value is value. Wasn't there before, is now.
Well, marketing is how he made the money to purchase the team. But you cannot simply discount the new stadium either simply because you don't want to.
Discount it all you want but Snyder has accomplish a bunch and has fielded competitive teams since arriving. He may never be seen as the best owner in the league but the idea that he's an idiot is totally overplayed.
Competitive? See above.
As for what's been overplayed, I'll simply say there are those of us who are simply contrarian and like to argue and will go against what logic and evidence presents while chiding the rest to be "sheep." I'm here in DC as well, and while I don't follow talk radio, I see day in and out the moves this team makes, I talk with skins fans, and none are as deeply rooted and dug in to argue the point that Snyder has not made severely, and routinely, idiotic moves throughout his tenure. And I mean 30 year fans.
So preach on brother. If you think Snyder is the man, or even knows what he's doing running that franchise from a football perspective, more power to you. Long as its not the Boys, I'm good.
Go ahead, hammer me on following the talk radio crowd and discount the numbers above...I double dog dare ya...
