Jim Zorn - New Commander HC *Merged*

could be another Joe Gibbs. Some described Zorn as an up and coming young HC. When another poster posted out that Zorn was 54, the other poster still insisted Zorn was an up and comer. One of them already raised the possibility Zorn could win his first SB with the Skins. FYI: Skins fans are putting a lot of credence in the fact that both times after the Giants won the SB the Skins then went on to win the SB the next year. Of course nothing is said about the fact that last time the Giants won in 90, the Skins did go on to win in 91 but we all know who then went on to win the SB in 92, 93 and 95. It was us of course -- the Beast of the East. Ha.

won't it be hard for him to come at 60?

Like I said before, ES is a blend of stupidity and homerism aged in pork barrels to fine stench and gobbled up by the masses like the blind faithful at a Jim Jones ice cream social.

It's funny and sad all at the same time.

Eat up.

Imagine for a second that Jerry had hired Pat Shurmur as "offensive coordinator", then waited until after the super bowl to interview Spagnuolo for HC position - and Spagnuolo turned him down.

So then, Jerry promoted newly hired Pat Shurmur to head coach.

How out of our minds would we be?

Zorn isn't young. He is 55.

He just has no experience because no team ever thought about hiring his spare *** to even be a OC.

You mean like Andy Reid?

Zorn is older because unlike the other guys you mention, he actually played the game so he couldn't start coaching at 24.

You might be trying to be funny, but there is more truth to this than you would imagine.

Snyder is so consumed and obsessed with one-upping Jerry Jones that he will copy his every move.

Jones hired Coach Parcells. Snyder hires Coach Gibbs.

Jones flirts with hiring Garrett. Snyder hires Zorn and probably believes he is clever for doing so.

What a sad, sad little man.

I wasnt joking...its plain as day.

What's funny is that at least half of this board would defend it and rip anyone who thought the organization was out of it's mind.

Hey Zoners,

I'm up here in D.C. right now in the Hotel room watching TV, and the fans being interviewed "HATE", I mean HATE this move.

I'm heading to the local Champps tommorrow, with get in some "4skins" faces, and let you know how they really feel.

any D.C./Dulles area Cowboys fans here, PM me if you want to hook up and meet the greatness of "HightechDave", and bash some Commanders fans at a local pub.

I'm enjoying the fact, the Commanders suck, had 6 coaches since 1999, and will continue to suck.

Not sure how you are coming to this conclusion. There was a two hour special on Commanders Radio up here and the reaction was overwhelmingly positive. The reaction on ES is similar.

this was on Fox 5. hadn't heard the radio, nor do I wan't to go on ES, but I'll not argue.

some were saying any change is good, but the TV bar interviews were negative against Zorn.

I have no idea why this would be positive, except for the sake of change.

If Jerry hired an african chimp to be the Dallas HC, Danny would hire one two.

Exactly... monkey see, monkey do

With little danny's stock trading at a buck 90 he figured he better get a coach he can pay in 6 flags bucks.

Didn't we originally draft Zorn ? I thought he was packaged with some other guys up to Seattle for draft picks. They were calling them Dallas North for a few years.

Guys, these so-called football geniuses here in D.C. on Fox 5 suck. It's like listening to the ESPN dorks. Overrated, talk to fast think about what they are saying first, and speculate with no foundation.

I'm going to like working up here on weekends next Fall. Someone tell me what radio station to call in on

This is just further proof of how completely and utterly idiotic the Commanders fanbase is

The only reason this is a good hire in their eyes is because they made it. If Dallas had hired a nobody from nowhere like Zorn, Washington fans would devote an entire month of the offseason to laughing it up and telling everyone what a dumbarse hire it was.

They see everything through burgandy and gold glasses. You'd think by now, after a decade of incompetance and idiocy, that they would see through Danny Boy's hires/signings as nothing more than desperate attempts to keep his investment afloat, and yet every season, without fail, Washington is destined to be the best team in football "next year". There hasnt been a season since he got here Skisn fans werent predicting 13-3 seasons.

Oh well. It's fun to watch you morons constantly get knocked off your high horse so abruptly
