Joe Biddle... "Jerry Jones would love to have Jeff fisher"

The Cowboys brought in their "Josh McDaniel's" two years ago.

Garrett is the NEXT HC of the Dallas Cowboys.

I like Fisher but he runs a 4-3 defense... Dallas has too much invested on that side of the ball to go back to 4-3.

I really like Jeff Fisher, but I still think Garrett gets the job.

Jerry said Garrett is "in the family portrait", so dont get your hopes up that Garrett is going to be leaving.

Take into account that Garrett's offense is #1 in the NFL (without TO) and it is hard to imagine Garrett getting the axe. So if Garrett is staying, no way in hell would Fisher come in to a situation like that.

The HC job is Garrett's to lose. As long as Garrett's offense stays in the top 10, he will be the next HC of the Dallas Cowboys.

As mediocre as Wade has been, he's never had started seasons 1-4 or 0-6. As for the upgrade, it would really depend on who Fisher brings in as DC. Chuck Cecil blows chunks.

I'd much rather take a chance on Gregg Williams. His 2 seasons as the Buffalo HC was ages ago, willing to take a chance on the next Belichick?

NO

I don't think he has ever been on a winning team except this year

Regarding Fisher losing 6 straight. There's a guy in new England who lost 6 in a row in 1995 and was fired by the Browns. There's a statue of a guy at the new Stadium who lost quite a few in 1988 too. The guy who replaced him lost even more the following year.

It's foolish to take your eyes off the fact Jeff Fisher is a fine football coach just because his team is bad in 2009.

GEE

Another coach who can't win a playoff game with the number one seed in his conference.

I hope the Titans go 0-16 so we can get Fisher if things dont work out with Wade.

IF things dont work out with Wade????:laugh2:
Wade is gone at the end of the year no matter what happens this season.........

The guy has 5 playoff wins in 14 full years and six trips to the playoffs in that period. One SB loss. Two trips to the AFC Championship game with one win there.

Neither Holmgren, Shannahan or Fisher can compete with this:

Six trips to the AFC Championship game in 15 years with two SBs winning one. He got to the playoffs 2 out of every 3 seasons there with 12 playoff wins and 21 playoff games. And his defenses, IMO, are more successful than Fishers although Dick LeBeau had something to do with that, too.

There is no comparison between the two if you are results oriented. And he didn't exactly have star QBs much of that time while Fisher had McNair.

Of course he's likely going to Carolina but that doesn't mean I can't dream. The only other well known worthy coaching candidate is Dungy and he likely isn't coming out of retirement according to him.

So there's always an unproven but smart and young Jason Garrett. We could do worse. That's assuming Wade gets the axe after this season. Of course if we won a SB I wonder.

Yep!

Give Garrett a good defense and he can really elevate this team further.

Its so odd. A Great offensive mind in Garrett and the supposed "Mr. Fix It" Great Defensive mind in Wade and we dont have a solid offense/defense combo.

I know college coaches rarely do well in the NFL.. But Jimmy did ok here.. I like Iowa's head coach Kirk Ferentz.. He always does more with less talent..

Bach, Jerry Jones will never measure up to your criteria. Let's be honest. He may eventually end up with a winning formula again, but he'll most likely do so without an endorsement from yourself.

He won't measure up as long as he keeps hiring the Switzer's, Gailey's, Campo's and Wade's of the world while neutering them at the same time. I gave him plenty of accolades for hiring Parcells and backing off considerably. It didn't get us over the top but it got us in the right direction. But to give up on that type of decision and turn back to a soft coach like Wade with Jerry taking full control again definitely wasn't the answer.

And that 13 year streak isn't winning him any favor among many either.
