Great thing about this.....in 7 days we will all know what Murray is worth in the eyes of NFL GM's.

John Clayton is on the radio a lot here in Washington. He was just on a local show and said Dallas is going to offer DM 7-7.5 a year. Said that Indy will offer 8-9 and that DM will have a choice to make. Seattle hosts on a kick lately, saying if Lynch retires they can get DM. John shot them down, saying Lynch is going to wait until august to make a decision.

Murray wants 9M.

Doesn't matter. NFL players are taxed by the state they work in. So if you are on the road playing the Gents your tax is based on that state. Weird, but true.

Well stated...

Funny how politicians have passed these, " where you earn the money type taxes " without a lot of public knowledge until you actually have to pay taxes in a state you haven't lived in for years, but did work in previously....

Idk about this seems alot for a RB, no offense to Murray but for that much we could draft a RB like Gordon or Abdullah for less then this and still be in good shape at RB

$6 million would be my absolute top offer and that is more than he is worth realistically.

The same Murray who never completed a season before this one?

Particular injuries are unavoidable with the correct amount of force and angle. It is part of the game unfortunately. I am referring to the workload of a RB and not seeing his production drop off.

'those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it' you certainly fall into that category

Take your own advice and take a moment to remember our old slew of RB's. Hambrick, J.J , MB3 , Choice, Felix. Which side of history are you on?

Funny you should mention MB3 :D

MB3 is the classic example of why you shouldn't over pay Randle. But Murray showed (in spades) why he has the durability to deserve a big contract. How big is the question, I think it will settle around this 7MM number or a little higher, but the team will have some protection by having some of it built into incentives.

Funny you should mention MB3 :D

MB3's problem was that he was paid to be a #1 workload back when his role was a closer/goal line at the end of games. His style wasn't suited to be consistent at top level. Very similar to Toby Gerhart

Doubt we will make this offer...doubt we can afford it. Less than 40% chance Demarco plays in D this year.

I love writing in incomplete sentences.
