I will say it again, this prophet guy had mutliple egos and screen names that followed him around the old star telegram board. That is why i left there, he just over ran it. Himself and the screen name bowman which was also prophet, would start threads and then back his points up with his other screen name.

Thanks, as always, for your thoughts. The chances of drafting someone with the minimum of JuJones skills seems pretty good to me as like I said, JuJones has not raised the bar very high. I'm willing to take the chance, and you are not. We therefore disagree. No big deal. Like I've stated repeatedly, I'm sick of waiting for JuJones' big breakout year. Maybe this upcoming season will prove me wrong, but I've based my opinion only on what I've seen on the field.
I hope we do draft a RB who has potential. It would be fun to compare notes with you at the end of next season if we did.

Is it not the offensive line who holds the bar? I don't know of any running back who is more than average with even a less than average line.It takes a SPECIAL back to make something out of nothing.Barry Sanders type players are not in every draft .Maybe this decade is the year for one,and maybe it will be this draft.My money is on one player and he won't be there , Julius and our first round and more won't get him.

btw, IR, your above post (which I won't quote) illustrates the pointlessness of burm's request to PROVE someone can improve JJ's production. burm accepts that Peterson or Lynch could do so, with little resistance, so why can't someone just say "Kenny Irons"? They would be providing the same amount of evidence that the Peterson/Lynch theory is based on. None of those backs are guarantees to improve upon Julius' production.

But the fact is 27 rushers in the NFL last year matched or bettered Julius' 4.1 ypc mark. If that many people are doing it, how hard can it REALLY be to imagine that Julius' production could be replaced pretty easily? There's no guarantee, but if 27 people were as good or better last year, the probability that a replacement could AT LEAST match Julius' production is pretty high. PROVE that it isn't.

OK, don't....I just felt like demanding people satisfy my demands.
