ok. I gave you my explicit definition above.

But since I haven't made any prediction about what will happen since I do not know (as I said explicitly multiple times), not sure how I can be called out regardless of who wins these games.
Just refine your stance more...thats all.

Who or what needs to be done? Define it.

You made the post. Tell us what constitutes good play and what doesnt. If Dak throws for 400+ yards and 1 INT late in a game that is a loss...who is that on? What is your alternative to an iffy QB?

Define your opinion. Is it a team game or a QB game? WE beat a +500 team...now what? We beat a +500 team in a game Dak stinks it up...what does that mean? Beating teams by 30...what does that mean? Good team execution against bad teams? Bad coaching against good teams? Is that on Dak or the coaching?

Youre leaving way too much out. You know it. refine your answers unless you are a psychology bot meant to upset. Pretty simple...define your answers more pinpoint-ly.

Yes, Boys are 8-3.

But lost in all the division talk is the inconvenient fact that the Cowboys have not beaten a single team with a winning record. Not a one.

That's not their fault - the schedule maker gave them a whole lot of cupcakes the first three months of the season, and they have for the most part walloped the bottom feeders on their schedule, save the horribly damaging failure in AZ.

Now let's see how they do against some better competition remaining. Only then will we get a true sense of whether they are a legit contender or not.

Yes, they played the Eagles tight -- but so what. So did the Commanders, TWICE. And Wash lost to the Giants' backup QBs, TWICE.

And Dallas didn't look like they belonged on the same field with SF, the only other decent team they have played.

I for one am very interested to see whether this team is for real. The next month will be revealing.
So let’s look at the same teams Dallas and Philly have played Dallas has dominated the same teams Philly has barely beat but people don’t look at that Philly biggest wins are by 14 pts just saying look at everything

You never heard about the Patriots piling up wins in their division for almost two decades because they sucked.
Yup. But when they played the elite teams they beat them too. Just ask Peyton Manning.

Dallas only has the creampuffs so far.

They have the chance to add some more impressive scalps over the last month.

Fortunately for us this isn’t the same team, or at least offense that played that day. This thing has done a 180 since that game
The offense has definitely improved since the AZ game. However, our defense got road graded in that game and the same thing happened against San Francisco. Unless we can keep winning and the 49ers can go to Philly next week and pull out a win, we’ll be stuck on the road in the playoffs. Road games haven’t been very friendly to us this season.

If style points mattered, I'd agree with you.

But what will matter more is how they do against the likes of MIA, BUFF, DET and PHI again.

Hopefully they put all concerns to rest.

There is a very simple solution to the problem.

Just win out when you get to the playoffs. The Cowboys have pretty good odds on getting there. So, what's the problem?

It's not their fault they lost to the two teams they played with a winning record. One of the two in an embarrassing rout.

Maybe I am missing something, but that seems better than lost to PHI, lost to SF, lost to AZ.
You are using different points in a team's development. You took points in a straight line of development.

AZ was a game lost due to the actual offensive line not being together for a year and a half and no player bonding before that very game.

SF and Dallas have the exact same records...how come? They had problems.

On the Eagles game Dallas lost by a total of 5 points and if the had played after the current achievement levels and bonding, had chances to beat the Eagles and probably would have.

The points of relative margins for victory for the Eagles were, as already provided, 5 by Dallas, 4 by KC, and 3 by Buffalo. They in fact were very lucky to come out of those games as well as they did. All three of the teams did have their own chances to have won. No, that is good but not dominance that is included with your snap shot view based upon what boil down to an abstract base. Not a direct comparison

Each and every game depends upon rhythm and then momentums.

This isn't a game of hero worship, It involves a lot of reasonable observation and some loyalty to team. But this Dallas team is fully in the next two games and should come out of them at 10-3.

Um....not their fault? Why isn't it their fault for not beating either Philly or SF?
Not their fault that the NFL front loaded the cream puffs and saved the majority of the tougher games for the last month.

Oh it's real as far as a statistic and is why they will be in the playoffs no matter what happens the rest of the way. Full marks for (mostly) taking care of business. But it is based on a VERY easy schedule.

Aren't going to be playing such a lame level of competition come January.

No proof at all yet that they can hang with the big boys.

Not saying they can't, not saying they will.

Just saying we don't know yet until they play the meat of their schedule against a gauntlet of opponents that for the most part the rest of the division has already played.

As the title says, jury is still out.
No proof? They have 5 straight wins at home with at least a 20 point margin of victory. No other team is doing that.

Sheesh, you have to wade through a lot of depressing pearl-clutching & defeatism here...most of it demonstrably illogical. Not guys* a coach would consider for the cheerleading squad, for sure.
A lot of the posters writing this stuff are actually Philly fans acting like they’re Dallas fans.

That way they can come on here and say “We haven’t beaten anyone, we suck and the Eagles are awesome!”

This place is lousy with them.

That misses the point.

I'm pretty sure that KC, PHI, BAL, SF etc. would have done pretty much the same thing if they had the murderers row of NYJ, NE, LAR, NYG and WAS all in a row at home.
