Does anyone believe Moore's pop gun arm and seemingly lack of pocket presence would not be completely exposed against the Giants?
Rush would be walking into a lion's den. He'd be in the fetal position in two series. He's not ready yet.

He has the mind for the game just not the tools. If you play with 50% of the field inaccessible defenses will exploit it and you're left with checkdown ball. Which will do nothing but bide time until an interception or get your receivers killed. This kid should NOT be on an NFL roster.
Such is the case for about 28 second-string quarterbacks in the NFL.

I don't really care who is #2, I just didn't want to lose Rush stupidly. It will always take this coach/staff/FO two or three miserable starts by their pet backup to see they need someone else. That's just the way it is.

Hang on...last I saw we cut Moore (and I was so happy). Now he is the #2 guy?

When did we re-sign this noodle-armed so and so?

My point is we have someone who has the mind and the tools and he is going to sit at #3 and lose the few snaps he would get at #2...

He's so far from being ready.

Doesn't know anything about reading NFL defenses, recognizing blitzes or disguised coverages, changing protections, adjusting routes, audibling out of bad plays, etc.

Moore is limited physically, but he knows the mental side.

Wait what's going on?

I hope we learn from the Broncos and not let Rush hit the practice squad. Broncos got cute and the Vikings snatched slotter. Same will happen to us if we let Rush go.

Moore was on the street for one day and even fans on this board knew he was going to resign with the Cowboys. Teams had already set their QB plans, its not accurate to say that Moore was on the street begging for a roster spot with no takers.

You're right, teams probably would have thrown themselves at him but he said no, I'd rather go back to being a backup for the team that cut me yesterday.

Not behind our starting offensive line. You sound coawardly and unsupportive.

I like your posts a lot and always read with interest. But here in regards Moore on the street I heard of zero
rumors of other teams interest. IMO,Moore is a specialized commodity specially designed and developed by Linhand.
He's Linhand's software without the adequate hardware.

Not surprised. No way they are going to have Cooper Rush as the #2 for the 1st game of the season and it being his first NFL regular season game.

I'm not sure why not since he seriously out played Kellen Moore in the preseason.

Lol no it doesnt, Rush outplayed Moore and that should be the only thing that matters. Moore couldnt even take advatage of vanilla defenses in preseason but yet he gives us a better at winning than Rush does if Dak goes down? Lmao yea right

Correct-a-mundo! I'm not sure why we insist on playing a guy who gives us a better chance at losing! Lol.

You don't truly realize how terrible your backup situation is till he's outplay d by a undrafted rookie, cut, not a single team claims or attempts to sign him, resigned and automatically promoted back to #2.

All because ONE guy on the staff has a crush on him.

It's decisions and logic like this that makes you wonder not just who else is on this roster for love and not for ability.

But also who we've let go for lack of love and not because of lack of ability.

Good post. The Golden Cock comes to mind.
