lots off good points in the thread. i myself was raised by a single mother and had no father figure to beat my *** for the way i talked to my mom and it would have been justified, but i never would have hit her or even thought about it and i still got the belt plenty of times by my mom. if i had hit my mom my grandpa and my two uncles would have been there in 20 minutes to beat my butt blue. even when i lived with my aunt she would slap me and i never even thought about retaliating.
the kid obviously doesn't know any better, it is the parents fault for treating him like an equal, she hits him and he thinks he is an equal so he thinks he can hit back, but still the kid needs to be taught some hard lessons and a therapist just isn't gonna cut it.
and to those that suggest military school i doubt that will teach him he cant hit his mother it will most likely just toughen him up and make him resent her so he can hit her harder
