The discussion isn't even about the playoffs. Everyone knows they were gifted their NCFCCG win. He's trying to get me to admit that Phithy played 17 games in the regular season against nothing but crappy teams. Just look at their schedule from 2022 and you will see that is 100% incorrect.
There's not a team on that schedule that if dallas beat people wouldn't still talk crap lol. You think if we beat the cousins led vikings and a average Packers team people would take notice?

It's funny how the garbage can thing just became a thing this year with Dak. Eagles beat trash all reg season last year and not a word was said. Interesting
It is not just that we are beating the garbage teams, it is that we are not beating the top ones

Yep. All the way. Had easily the easiest path to the Finals and they goofed. Even got Mahomes on one leg in the SB. Got Josh Johnson, Daniel Jones....you can't ask for a better path.
So knocking Purdy out of the game doesn't count. And hanging 35 on that Chiefs defense is pretty solid. Consider when Dak played the Chiefs on the regular season he led the team to 3 FGs. I hate the Eagles but they have earned respect where the Cowboys with Dak haven't earned it yet.

You think they intentionally hurt Purdy so they wouldn't have to face him? Just a fluke energy.
Why do you guys always defend the Eagles and then have to resort to bringing up Dak? Nobody mentioned Dak. What does his 3 field goals have to do with anything? The Eagles lost to the Chiefs not because the Chiefs outplayed but because they choked and gave a fumble for a touchdown. It was the easiest path to a SB one could ask for. Mahomes got hurt against the Jags.

Its not like I want to defend the Eagles but hey they dam near won it all. The only only reason I mentioned Dak is because the Chiefs defense is no joke and for Hurts to hang 35 is very impressive. Especially on the biggest stage.

Why is there a call for Lance to play every week? Dak and the offense are starting to get into a rhythm. Cooks is coming on, Turpin is becoming more and more of a threat each week and it looks like the running game may click soon. I understand the logic is the last game should be/could be meaningless, but based on years past, McCarthy prefers to have the starters start the game. Last year they clearly weren't prepared and luckily bounced back the following week, but I don't expect his strategy to change.

Now will Lance get mop up duty...it's possible they activate all three QBs just in case, but honestly I don't think that will tell us much

We'll get an idea in training camp and pre-season

I don't want to speak out of my butt on this one but i'm pretty sure the Chiefs defense got good this year.

Either way i'm not taking anything away from them. Like I said they outplayed the Chiefs and lost. But they def. outplayed them. But I stand by they had a easy route to the SB having a bye, facing the Giants, then the 9ers without Purdy, then facing a injured Mahomes.

I don't know what the fascination is I want to see him in preseason against preseason competition before I see him in regular season. I can wait.

“The easiest schedule in the 2022 NFL season belongs to the Philadelphia Eagles, whose opponents only combine for 137 projected wins, according to NFL win totals at sportsbooks. This means Philadelphia's opponents project to post a 0.474 winning percentage this season.”

Here’s the teams who were above average they played last year;

W- Vikings (one of the most fraud winning teams of all time statistically)
L- Dallas

They played Jacksonville early before they gelled and GB who was barely average last year.

Like c’mon man this isn’t even an argument. Literally 2 teams that were real contenders and they lost one of those games albeit without Hurts. If your argument is they beat the 11 wins by 1 score anomaly Kirk Cousins-led Vikings then you’re not arguing genuinely. We blew the Vikes out and no one batted an eye because they’re “just the Vikings”.

I just want to repost and say it louder for the slow people in the back can hear it.

The so-called best team in the NFL barely beat Washington. But we DESTROYED them! We aren't just beating bad teams; we are destroying bad teams. Big difference.

GO COWBOYS!!!

It will be time to pull the bandaid off. Dak is making things hard again with his MVP level play. Still they need to see what they have with Lance eventually. I doubt that last game will have any significant impact in the standings. Dallas is not catching Philly so very likely a 12 win 5 seed. I truly want Lance to get the start that game.

Thoughts?
He doesn’t need to start the last game to see what he’s got.

You can go back and watch some SF tape with him at QB. That should answer any questions you have.
