Landry and Jimmy would have cut TO!!

Jimmy Johnson said more than once Sunday that he thinks TO is a distraction to this team. I'm not saying Jimmy is right or wrong but Jimmy is on record about his feelings about TO. Landry he tolerated only so much but would cut even productive players

Jimmy is on the other side of the fence with the mediots and commentators... he has learned to spout just to be heard... if he was coaching the Cowboys I belive he would keep TO and even defend him

Well that is not what Jimmy is saying today. Johnson has been very critcal of TO

That's for sure. Jimmy would excuse anything for talent and winning. Obviously, he can have a completely different outlook from the booth, but as a leader, he'd have taken TO in a second.

He's also not coaching so his job isn't on the line.

True, I'm not pretending to know you guys are I'm just saying what Johnson said last sunday as well as when the deal 1st took place.

I just can't agree with Jimmy. I don't think T.O. is a major distraction to this team. It sucked that he dropped a potential outcome changer on Sunday, but his presence is not keeping the team at .500. Without him, Dallas is probably still hovering at .500.

I think T.O. is annoying, selfish and just a weird guy, but he has gotten way too much credit for having the capabilities to tear teams apart. The facts are that the 49ers were a team on the decline in T.O.'s final years. Look at them now. They are still trying to rebuild.

The Eagles suffered injuries last season and that had a much greater impact on them losing than the T.O. circus. He is not there now and Philly is still sitting at 4-4.

He is not the big team destroyer everyone makes him out to be. Unfortunately, he is also not the player that will lift a team up either. He is not going to be the reason that Dallas figures it out. He may be along for the ride if they do, but Dallas has to fix other problems in order to win consistently.

I know what you mean. I'm just thinking of Jimmy the coach not tv guy. They are two totally different people.

on the team plane.

For dropping a pass? Are you nuts?

Do you know how many passes other Cowboy receivers have dropped over the years .....?

Or are you talking about the end zone antics? Granted Jimmy and Tom would have been all over TO, but cutting him? Be realistic. Give me one example of Landry or Jimmy cutting a guy like TO for an on field antic ..... hell, they both put up with drug users and sex offenders off the field.

I hear ya... all I am saying is that.... if you look at Parcells when he ANALyzing for ESPN he said things about Jerry(meddling, too involved in team, blah blah blah) and then he signs with Boys and starts coaching again and things changed his ciews/thoughts/opinions changed

I can't say that he is or is not a distraction to the team, I'm not there I don't know what the players are saying behind closed doors about TO and the negitive attention he brings. For me to say one way or the other at this point would be an uniformed opinion. I can say I have not been overly impressed with him since Dallas has signed him and do not feel we are getting our monies worth out of him. I clearly hope that changes before season end because we need some guys to step up and be real playmakers

It's not the dropped passes as much as when they occur. He has developed a habit of dropping balls at the worst time.

Quick question at the half way point of the season are you satisfied with the job that TO has done?

No he was brought in and is being paid big money to catch the ball and be a big time player. He hasn't done that yet. JMO

For WR's , he is 14th in yds, 11th in receptions, and 4th in TD's scored.

Considering he had to deal with a hamstring in the beginning, and a broken bone in his hand after that, (not to mention having to deal with Bledsoe as his QB) and learning a new offense, I wouldn't say I'm satisfied, but he is doing well and I think with Romo he will do even better as time goes on.

4th in TD's is really an impressive stat.

I hope your right I want to see the big plays and I want to see him stop dropping balls. I expect that out of less seasoned WR I don't expect that out of a so called star WR. Up to this point I'm not overly impressed and he negitive attention is not worth what I'm seeing on the field. Now if TO can shut his mouth and just do his job I'll be more than happy

Of course the dropped passes are a concern, but do you really think Landry and Jimmy would actually have cut TO? That's pretty far fetched.

Read my replies above. I don't think Landy would have had him on his team and Jimmy never cut a player with talent.
