hmmmmm............ Why in the world would Brian wanna still be working in Dallas if he isn't calling the plays on Sunday? Isn't this what a D.C. is suppose to do call plays? Or am i missing something here? If i were Brian i would just leave if this is the case. Sounds like brian is getting fired while still being on the job. Basically free pay from here on out if this is true. Maybe he is smart after all.

Remember when Fassel did this to Sean Payton in NY? Payton didn't quit, and it didn't ruin his career.

and stewart may not call the plays, but he is still coordinating it during the week. Running the meetings and making the gameplans.

And if all this is true that wade is taking a more hands on approach he knows his time is almost up. If we lose, lose badly to the bucs like I think we might, the crowd will let wade and the staff know where this thing is at.

wade hasnt had to go through that at the stadium yet. I fear he might have a meltdown after it happens sunday.

thats odd. I remember parcells pulling bledsoe at the half of a monday night game in front of the whole country. Bledsoe made a mistake and he got pulled. Parcells and bledsoe are close and still pulled him for an undrafted free agent.

Dont expect phillips to make any drastic moves like that.

So what? It was still too late in the season and anybody could see that DB was done. Drew Bledsoe was sucking... He pulled him way too late, after the grumblings in the media and the fans had become dominant.

Parcells never did anything because of media or fan grumbling.

He waited so long because he wasn't sure what he had in Romo, and wasn't ready to turn a playoff contender over to an undrafted guy with zero real exsperience until Bledsoe simply gave him no choice.

in Miami, Smoke = Ricky Williams LOL

If it's true, I like the move. Garrett's already calling the plays on offense, he is the assistant-HC. I think if he wants to step up eventually to the main job, this is a good time/way to test his worth under pressure. Wade's capable of taking over the D IMO. I hope the players do respond.

Question is, will a change in coaching bring about a change in basic defensive scheme, most noteably the end of the soft-zone and maybe tighter (but not man) coverage.

I at least believe it is fair to allow me to respond to my post ripping and then I will leave.

1. I have been a fan all my life, lived right next door to Ermel Allen when I was growing up. I went to plenty of team meetings back then.

2. I cheered the Cowboys in thier 1-15 season.

3. I would hardly call me a bandwagon fan.

4. I have lived in Arizona for the past 13 years and go to several games, so rooting for the Crdinals is not a stretch.

5. Most of the ruder responses are obviously from younger Cowboy fans acting more like Raider fans.

You will never here from me again.

Kepp riding the Parcells homerism... Four years isn't enough to get ready... Please....

The fact is Bledsoe gave Parcells no choice a long time prior... He flat-out sucked... And Romo, per reports, was lighting it up in training camp...

Yea, I like the sound of this.

Wade should totally take over the entire defense and leave Garrett alone to do what he wants to do on offense and be the assistant HC.

This way we get to put Garrett through a little dress rehersal to see if he cant handle the HC job next year and we can see once and for all if the defense sucks because of the 3-4 scheme or if it is the players that just are not that good.

This also tells me that Wade knows he is fixing to get fired.

Just listening to GAC and Brian Brodus (official scout of GAC) said that Wade has been calling some of the plays on Defense lately. Brian says he still has connections at Valley Ranch and sources have told him this.

i sort of think that guy is real full of it. its obvious if you watch the game stewart is doing all the calls esp last year before the head sets. this is great news though i ve wanted this to happen since wade had got here

This is usually the last steps coaches take before they are fired. I remember before Coughlin, Fassel did the same thing with the Giants, right before he was canned.

Basically they know their job is on the line and coaches being the control freaks they ALL are would rather go out calling the plays.

I just hope that the plays Wade calls were not the Bomb to Avery or the Run with Jackson, if not then good take over if he had any parts to calling any defense on those we are in trouble switch or not LOL

Well I hope you're never here again and we hope to not hear from you. Not really just messing with you about the misspelling.

Actually come back when you're contrite and ready to root for a real football team. You're sure to tire of rooting for the Cardinals. Everyone makes mistakes.

Randall Williams, per reports, lit up every training camp he was ever involved in. How'd his career pan out?

Anyway, the team still made the playoffs that year, so apparently it wasn't too late after all.

As for the four years to get ready, Romo himself admitted as much that he wouldn't have been nearly as good if he had been put out there earlier.

The head coach (Phillips the Clown) needs to fire Bruce Read (special teams coach) and Brian Stewart (defensive coordinator) today. They both suck and never should have been hired here.

Hudson Houch should be on notice since the OL sucks. Get rid of the old non-performers and get new blood in there. Can't get any worse.

Skip Peete needs to teach Barber how to carry ball and not fumble.

Promote Dave Campo to DC if better choice not available on street.

** contact Cowler to see if he will come in as a consultant to help clean up and get team on the right road...

Uhhh, actually when Fassell took back the playcalling (from Sean Payton) they went to the Super Bowl.

My point was that he did it because they were playing badly and he was on the hotseat, so instead of relying on whoever their coordinator was, he took over.

They hit a rough spot so you go Benedict Arnold? Why don't you actually live up to your last line and go away.

Oh and picking a franchise run like the Cards have been for the last 20 years is high comedy.

20 years?

Fuzz, try 88 years. Since 1920 they have won 2 post season games.

A big deuce, which is a euphemism for crap.
