CA, Waldo.

If this is a different kind of injury (gun shot wound to a different body part), I don't see how this is applicable... but then again, I've been getting on others for decrying speculation, so I would be a hypocrite to do the same.

well nerve regeneration is nerve regeneration, so it is applicable.

the big difference is the difference in the distance the nerve has to regenerate.
the longer it is, the harder - not just a matter of waiting time.

Fair enough, I'm just here for the ride, brudda. Appreciate all the insight (or speculation, whatever people want to call it) y'all have offered in this thread.

it just happens 2 members of my family worked on nerve regeneration.
but as phds in research.
so they understand general stuff, not statistics in certain drop foot cases and other MD stuff

You need to back the **** off these members here who actually lend some sort of insight into Jaylon's recovery.

Only a few have asserted themselves as being a doctor (@Doc50 etc) the rest have stated numerous times it is their speculation and research into Jaylon, specifically, that lends a voice to the discussion.

You saying you "work in the field" is rich, considering how much you crap on the other posters for offering advice. Taking out the trash at the hospital and getting rid of the hazardous waste doesn't mean you work in the field.

It means you're a janitor.

Now leave the thread since you have such an issue with it. The rest of us are intrigued. Let us be intrigued and continue to speculate. It's our right. Stop crapping on our parade, and instead clean up the crap at that hospital you work at.

"I work in the field" get the **** out of here

I believe he actually does work in the field Trouty. If memory serves (hardly ever does) I believe he works or is some type of sports medicine. I could be wrong but I vaguely remember him mentioning this awhile back.

Still Star, my point stands, he needs to lay off the members here.

I was only ribbing him on his job status, as quite frankly, I don't give a you-know-what he does.

That was the point of my post to that dude.

He needs to chill and let us have our fun in this thread. We don't need him in here telling us what we need to do.

We aren't Jaylon's doctor, what we speculate on is for our own curiosity, causing no harm to Smith.

Star, you're a good dude, my hombre. No disrespect intended for you in this post.

Wood can reply to me whenever he likes...

It surprises me what you say.
When a doctor basically says I will not say any more, one generally figures there is probably a good reason, will back off and give the appropriate space.

I have been told by others on the board that the Doc has previously provided good information.
As far as I know, none of us knows who the Doc is, what he actually knows in this case, etc.
MDs and even most of us have better things to do than to make up junk to 'win' an argument.

Jaylon's situation, while bad and unfortunate, has been described by well qualified professionals to be relatively straight forward based on previous cases.
I generally give people the benefit of doubt and even more.
Instead, the tone of some of these posts are degrading, confrontational, accusatory and entitled.

sorry I haven't had a chance to weigh in on this yet, I've been busy. Now that I have time now though Jaylon will be cleared to return to practice next week, and will start week 15. he will have a sack in his first game and an interception in his second.

that's all I can say right now but you can take it to the bank.

LOL, ok, that will be nice.
Since you can predict the future, what will be Google's price in 1 month?

Had ankle tendon surgery last January and the nerve still hasn't woken up and played nice yet. The feeling is painful in a strange way and therapy hasn't worked at all. If this is Jaylons same experience I feel bad for him as my livelihood doesn't depend on my athletic ability.

Ok, I dont even regard this as dissent.
I created this thread to talk about ideas and opinions on Jaylon, not get into stupid never-ending circular arguments.

Wow, sorry to hear about that.
Pain is bad, but at least your sensory function is working in some way.
I guess the motor function is not.

Sounds like Jaylon is having a better time though who knows...
He sure is tweeting happy thoughts...

BTW, while I was reading about this stuff, I did read about bones/etc. that impinge on nerves can cause serious issues.
I am no doctor, but perhaps some scar issue may be causing you those sensations.

Good luck.
