I'm almost 100% positive AP would break the rushing record running behind this o line. Easy.

He almost set the all-time rushing record in 2012 with 2097 yards but all it led to for Minn was a 10-6 record and a one and done in the playoffs. RB's breaking rushing records during the season never lead to championships. If you can't make stops defensively it makes no difference what a back rushes for you'll never reach the SB. Murray put up 123 yards on Green Bay in the playoffs averaging 4.9 a carry but the Cowboys defense not being able to make tackles and critical stops defensively led to the loss.

I wouldn't rule dallas out of this thing

But Ive lost interest myself...it's just way too costly..

Premium pick + a ton of money

Again...I wouldn't be shocked if dallas did make this trade

And I'll get Damn excited for what peterson will bring in the short term...but I still think it's a bad idea in the grand scheme of things..but if somehow, some way, it leads to a SB...

Yes. It takes a COMPLETE team to win a SB...

And guess what, I can show you tons of teams w excellent defenses that did nothing in the playoffs too

Using previous teams history to make an example isn't comparing apples to apples...so it's useless

I just think in the end HES gonna get released. They just traded for Wallace huge contract. Unless they have something in the works for a trade it doesn't make sense to me for them to keep him when he doesn't want to be there even with all the money he's get paid

There's a lot more great defensive teams that have won SB's than great offensive teams. We've seen some terrific offensive teams lose championships to teams that had better defenses. Three of the greatest offensive teams ever which included the 07 Pats and 2013 Bronco's lost SB's to better defensive teams. History has shown regardless of how good an offense is if you have too many defensive efficiency's it will come back to bite you during the playoffs. For the Cowboys to build on last season they need to maintain a solid offense and improve their defense.

AD is in DFW and being squirrely about why he's there. :welcome:

IRVING - Adrian Peterson is on the phone, being asked by our buddy Shan Shariff if he happens to be in DFW at the moment. 'I can't comment on that,' AD said. Is that vague enough to allow your imagination run wild? The Cowboys are NOT 'out' on the idea. Their minds are open to the vision of AD-to-Dallas. The issue is who's 'in.'

Please dont let this be Minnesota's "Herschel's revenge"... us trading Minnesota the house for AP because Jerry got spurned by Demarco and is trying to play "keeping up with Chip."

If it's for a mid round pick, I go full homer if they do it.

Sickening full homer.

With the signing of McFadden, the cowboys will not go after Peterson unless he's as cheap as McFadden was. This is a non issue

Hahahah the signing of McFadden for pennies? Yeah that will stop them from going after a generational rb

It would have been done by now if the Cowboys were willing to give up a ransom.
