it was Law is too old, injured, crippled, sux last year despite he was like 23-0 in games started finished before injury....

We gave Henry the $10M SB.

Fastforward today. Law 6 interceptions and healthy, Henry out when it counts.....most

I'll take Hall of famers all day everyday. Race is on for his services next year -- CB/FS combo may be the ticket. I'm sure he's apalled playing for such a bad team......

Bring it!

Agenda. C'mon. So old and worn this act is.

No your post is whacky. Law on a football field never has to block a Dlineman.... But he sure can come up in run support and take our RB's. If you watched/knew Law - he's one of the best run support CB's that ever played this game.

And your kids can read that in Canton at the Hall of fame.

Law is too old unless he wants to come here for a discount contract.

And if you like Law sooooo much, you should hope he doesn't come here, where he will have no chance of making the HOF. Once you put the star on, you lose about half of you HOF chances.

If age was the concern, then only a foolish business man would have made that judgment based on his expectations for this year. I have never watched Law play much, so I don't know for a fact that he outplayed Henry before the injury...almost hard to imagine. But let's say he has been the better player this season: That doesn't mean we signed the wrong guy by going younger....you don't pay for 1 year, or even 2...Maybe the idea was to shore up the position for longer than that with a guy the DB coach liked and believed fit our system.

I would still pass on signing Law as a CB/FS because I think we're not really all that close to being a championship team. I think we should draft our FS on day 1....you can get a good FS in rounds 1-3 and have him at a ridiculous price for the next few years, which helps when you're already paying what we are for Roy, Newman, and Henry.

Law in 06!

We blew it not trading Rogers draft pick for Law.
We blew it cuz of Postons and over paid for JAG

See Merriman fiasco cuz of that.

Get Law in and Henry to FS

Um, Law went out last year when it counted most.

It was a freakish injury and up until then, Henry was superb. I garner that if Henry would have stayed healthy he would have had at least 6 INT's by now.

Stuff happens.

Rich.....

What we have here is the classic example of someone that will take any attention, even if it be negative attention, in order to make himself feel better.

One would hope that through age, exp aka wisdom that the subject would sooner or later tire of the Look at me Look at me attention hound or I told you so nanna nanna boo boo phase of his life and simply move on.

The problem is the craving of attention is such a drug that they will use all means, no matter how negative or silly, to capture said attention.

Dr Phil would suggest an enema and electro shock therapy.

I would have liked to have seen Law with a star on his helmet. I did have the same concerns about his agents and his repeated health concerns over the last couple of seasons.... While Law might have more picks this year.. I think thats not the only thing to look at..

Henry has almost as many tackles in three few games..also has more passes defensed... Now I'm sure someone like Adam could talk about yards made against Law vs Henry... Here's the thing.. Henry is a Cowboy and Law is not. If BP and Jerry had wanted to make a real push for Law they would have gotten him signed.. Next season is what it is.. It hasn't happened yet. Law may have a few seasons left.. As someone said in this thread already, I would prefer that we draft a young Free Safety that we can lock up for a longer term contract and still be less expensive. Then if Law wants to come in at near the vet minimum then by all means sign him up for the star.

By the way, one can also make the argument that Aaron Glenn has been equally as good at corner as both Henry and Law

G Ttl Tcl Ast S Int Yd avg Lg TD PD
Law-2005 New York Jets 14 58 41.0 17 0 6 65 10.8 43 0 7

Henry-2005 Cowboys 11 47 38.0 9 0 3 102 34.0 58 1 11

Glenn-2005 Cowboys 14 28 25.0 3 0 4 10 2.5 10 0 8

What a joke of a post. Ty Law over Henry.

Let me see. First you say the Commanders would have never bombed 3 TDs over Dallas with Law instead of Henry. Well, Henry was not covering Moss on any of those plays. Is Law really that good that he can come across the field and stop deep bombs?

You also say that Law is a beast in run support. What does that matter? You have also been saying that the defense has no problem stopping the run. You made thread pointing out that the reason the Skins won was because of the pass. Which is it?

You say that Dallas over paid for Henry and then you say Dallas should have traded a 2nd round pick for Law. Losing a pick for Law ends up costing more than signing a free agent Henry.

Not having Law cost the playoffs? This is the biggest joke of all. Even with Henry injured, the defense had played well up until the last two weeks. And those problems that have recently developed were not with cornerback play. The Jets have Law and I don't see them going to the playoffs. Why? Because he doesn't play offense. Dallas won't be going to the playoffs because the offense is way to inconsistent and the majority of that points to the offensive line.

Now go ahead and respond with 20 straight posts saying 6 INTs over and over. And while you are at it, include a post about 4-3 is dead you hanger oners or Bledsoe is a Hall of Famer, book it.
