Twitter: Leon Hall to Visit per Rapoport

I swear my eyes go crossed every time I read how a FA signing can put the team in position to draft properly.

I mean, otherwise...you have to reach, folks. Those are the rules.

They ain't written in stone, but if the Boys are sitting at draft time with Orlando coming off of a torn ACL/MCL, Claiborne never staying healthy and Carr refusing to take a pay cut. What do you think the odds are of the Boys reaching for a corner maybe not at one but in the top three rounds?

The only way to solve that dilemma is through free agency or hope your board matches up when it is your turn to select.

That's my feeling. I can see hall replacing Carr for now and then drafting Ramsey if there. I think honestly this team wants Ramsey or Elliot

I would say it is potentially more likely Orlando moves outside and Hall plays the slot if Carr is gone.

Carroll made sense. This doesn't.

What's curious is they targeted Carroll but then couldn't even give him a 1-2 year deal. I wasn't a big fan of the possible signing but I don't understand why they're soooo tight now when you would think they should be willing to take some chances given the age of the QB.

Signing Hall in a vacuum isn't a bad move. He's seen better days but probably would be the 2nd best CB on the roster if the season started today.

They're clearly looking to bring in a veteran corner and safety. Leon Hall, Dashon Goldson coming in for visits. Gives them more flexibility come draft time.

Because I think they have sobered up about there championship window

I loved him when he played for the Skins, not so much playing for us.

Not a smart player.

In other CB news, remember how a few here were willing to go $4-5MM on Nolan Carroll, because that's what the market was dictating for league average CBs?

Well Carroll got a $2.5MM contract from the Eagles with incentives up to $3MM.

Which means we were offering 1.5?

Anything more than a 1-2 year deal is pushing it. He's lost a step since he tore his Achilles.

Well, that's unfortunate.

I think it's true. I tried to call Fisher and his line is busy.

Funny, I heard back immediately:

Yes ! The guy can still play. He's an upgrade.

Upgrade over Carr or Claiborne. With Scandrick coming back and Jones as an option, if this guy really that much of a difference maker? I don't see any elevation worth getting giddy about.
