I don't know what his point, either. I was speculating.

My question is, how do you append any kind of sexual preference to an infant?

Our modern idea of homosexuality differs substantially from that of antiquity. The Greeks were far more accepting of the homosexual lifestyle than we are yet never viewed it as an either/or prospect. In fact, they viewed the romantic relationship between two men as a purer form of love because woman were not considered "equal" to men. This view is quite different from of our view that sexuality is determined by innate preference.

In my opinion, one ultimately chooses to be what they are, be it heterosexual or homosexual.
