Let us just take a moment to mourn the 'Skins' season

Shanahan had full and total control of the entire org.

It was his decision whether or not to make the trade. It was his decision to hire Haslett. It was his decision to go with Rex/Beck in 2011 and sign mediocre FAs rather then totally tank the season and have a legit shot at Luck

The 36M dollar cap penalty+the RG3 trade were crippling. Shanny's ego only made things worse, and a bad situation unteneble.

The best thing that could happen for the team is to quickly move on from RG3 (which it appears the team is doing) let Jay do his thing the way he wants to in order to get a good evaluation on him, and then either give him time or let GMSM pick his coach and continue to draft well.

If you truly believe the RGIII trade was without influence from Snyder (or more accurately primarily driven by Snyder) then you are in fact more gullible than I thought (which is further backed up by the suck for Luck support you just demonstrated).

How stupid is this thread going to look if the Commanders have a great season?

The Skins have all sorts of issues.
I just don't see the fact that one of their three QBs does not mesh with the HC as being as big a deal as some think.
If this was A top 10 QB, that'd be one thing. This guy mayn't even be the best QB on his own team ....so not a big deal.

I can vouche for the skins fans wanting to only beat Dallas and thier unexplainable obsession with the Cowboys. I live in VA and these fans are almost as obnoxious as Philly and steelers fans.

Its been that way for decades. That entire region of the country is obsessed with the Cowboys and its a 365 day a year obsession. Any Skins fan that denies that is as delusional as RGMe is for saying he's the best QB in the league. They actually deserve each other, that fanbase and that self absorbed clown masquerading as an NFL QB.

The Heath Shuler bust pales in comparison with this RGKnee debacle. RGMe will be the bust of the decade and here's to hoping that their next big bust will make this RGMe bust seem rather insignificant.

If you think thats even a remote possibility there's a bunch of guys in Vegas that would love to take some of your $$$$$$

But around here, the mere thought being expressed would get you ridiculed beyond belief if it wasnt for the coddled protection that trolls get here.

This is the problem with the Commanders psyche: Washington focuses on being better than Dallas - Dallas focuses on being the champion. Fans giving this much rent space to their arch-rivals have already lost. Champions are past comparisons and simply proud of their own accomplishments.

First off Vegas ain't getting a penny of my money and second I ain't no troll. I am 100% Cowboys fan but I am not stupid. This is the freaking NFL and its a season by season result. We don't know which teams will shine or which teams will stink. My post still stands.

And what really eats at the Skins fanbase is that the Cowboys have won all of their championships w/o any cheating or accusations of cheating.

To say the possibility exists is one thing. To even suggest that it might be a realistic possibility is quite another.

If you have the power to make a decision (contractually) and are talked into making a decision you do not want to make, you are responsible for that decision. Especially at a time when you have 3 years and 21M left on your contract

You keep believing what you want. If it makes you feel better about your teams direction to place the blame on a HOF coach that your circus team ran off.

So who had contractually full control with 3 years 21M left on his deal?

Why not tell Dan to go F himself if he wants to make such a bold move to go get RG3 in 2012? Shanny had all the leverage on his deal at that point.

Dan has an encyclopedia of issues and is the root cause of the franchise failure the last 16 years. However I won't let Shanny off the hook on this one. Not when the guy had full control of the operation

Yea, Shannahan could have stopped the trade, just like he could have stopped the McNabb trade, but hindsight at least suggests there was another driving force behind both moves.

We are 3-0 and just blew out the Baltimore Ravens, in Baltimore, 31-13.

We are 10-6 or better this season.

Book it.

OMG, will you guys shut up with your egotistical ********. Go to ES, no one is thinking about your equally pathetic in the last decade performing team. I personally don't know a single Skins fan who gives a flying **** whether we beat you with our third string QB again. We would rather win a championship. Seriously, I can't believe so many of you actually think we care more about beating you guys than being a winning org. again. Hilarious.
