Someone who will hold players accountable and will put some fear into them. Does not need to be there best friend. Someone that is not afraid to take chances. The exact opposite of the spectrum as Garrett.

Nothing will change if/when Garret leaves/fired.

We've had 5 coaches over the past 20 years. Thousands of players. Same result.

One thing stands constant. Jerry Jones.

Nothing will change as long as Jerry's stench is still on this team.

seriously?

How many new england assistants have to fail before people realize they are people who follow orders and not give them.

At least he has a modern offense, unlike JG. As long as Jerry is running things, we need great coordinators who are strong with Xs and Os as like you said they are just taking orders.

Fair point.

I'm not interested in a re-tread. I want someone fairly young with a defensive mindset to fix this mess created by Jerry Jones and Larry Lacewell (he advised him on the 4-3 switch and Kiffin/Marinelli hires). We've had one top 10 defense since Parcells left, that's unacceptable. I'll give a little on offense for a defense that finally stops someone in Dallas.

I'd also like to have a coach that has a network of coaches he can hire from. Garrett has never had that b/c he's only been coaching since 2005. He's been this dysfunctional Dallas bubble since 2007. I think this is a reason why many of his assistant coach hires have been underwhelming....he doesn't know anybody. Meanwhile Patricia has been coaching since the 90s, has been in the New England org for more than a decade and has experience coaching offense and defense.

If JG gets fired, fire them all. Start with fresh new, young up and coming coach who will bring in his own staff and bring our offense and defense into the new world of the NFL. We still rely on an old offense with very few little wrinkles. We keep using same old head coaches who couldnt make it with other teams being head coach. We all know that wont happen.

Ok Please be serious in this thread no Garret or Jones bashing?

I know fans have been complaining for years about Garrett ! So let's say at the end of this Season he is let go and you get your wish what do you do.

Who would you want for Garretts replacement, do you replace linehan and marinelli also, if so who do you bring in ?

Please give serious answers

------------------------

Rules:

No answers like :
Belichek, Tomlin or any coaches you know are not going anywhere and we are not gonna get.
No sarcastic answers like no one will work as Jerry's puppet!

I really want to know who you seriously would like !

The Offensive Coord of the Patriots.

Garrett will finish his contract

Duh, I'm starting to worry about my brain, smh

I'd agree, I think jeri loves the setup they have right now and the last thing he wants to do is disrupt his comfort zone so its gonna take some serious funk to force jeri to fire Garrett

I still think this year is all about sweating Garrett and Romos contracts. There'll be a new HC next season. I want a young upcoming coach with the motivation and stamina to get stuck into the mess we're in. Someone who is a builder. Who isn't afraid of hard decisions and relises creating a new dynasty .

Shanahan, Sean Payton, Gruden, John Fox, Kevin Costner or Denzil Washington

The last two got championships and Costner is nobodys puppet

LOL you broke the rules !!
Costner would be interesting and probably better than JG.
Briles, would be one ex college coach who is out of a job now, and then there are some good DC's around, which we need, but you never know if assistants
however good will make a good HC.

Gruden might be ok, but not sure if he wants back in.

I will add, a young DC like patricia, I dont see him standing up to the jones, so even though he might be better than JG, not sure
he could handle this team.
He might make our defense better, so that right there would be a big plus.

Sean McDermott Carolina Panthers D coordinator is who I would look at. This defense needs to be addressed big time before we can start getting serious again.
